After playing this game in beta and quiting three weeks after servers opened to the public I took time off from the game. When patch 1.19 I came back to the game with changes. I personally disliked the stamina bar. Why it did add some strategy to the game i found that choosing what skills to use when at certain times in a fight to be rather taxing to my mind all because it was based on my ability to perform so many actions with in a time frame. Instead of keeping engaged in the world I found myself removed. There are plenty of things that I do dislike currently in the game. Guardian Favor, camera system, anima (at times). The list continues on. However what I did notice with patch 1.19 was the foundation for something bigger. 2.0... What does it mean? New game engine? A world reborn? Better UI? Ok what does that mean? I am not asking for a response to this. Im simply pointing out that why I have enjoyed the game since changes have been implemented, that I still do not understand the clear goal of the new game design approach. It does matter. It matters to all the players. People leaving because of billing? Maybe they dont have ten dollars to throw down. Or maybe they do not see the point in paying for a game that is going to be changed into something else given a years time. Better isnt exactly always better. Sometimes its just indifferent. So I challenge Developers to provide us with some actual real insight into the direction this game is taking. I dont want a tour or anything. I just want some real idea of what kind of game they are trying to make. I want interactive. Something that makes me care about what I am about to go out and do. A world that challenges me as a player but doesn't subject me to hours of meaningless errands. How about a quest that tallies how many players I assist with a quest. Or getting some sort of through an option for healing from outside of a party for them since they have no healer and cannot get a willing replacement. Real compensation for assisting other players. Not just experience points or getting the privilege of being in some awesome dungeon.
My two cents. Its worth what it is.
