Can we at least get proper jobs like blm and whm before we ask for more. The way they decided to glue the jobs on top seems like we'll be stuck with the lame classes until the end of time. I want to solo blm dammit!

I thought the point of the classes was so you could solo. In other words, you don't have jobs that are only good for soloing or only good for parties or only good for alliances, like you saw in FFXI.
Each class is good at solo/light parties, and each class comes with a valuable "full party mode" job when specialization is the most important. I think it's a great way to avoid the "loljob" syndrome.

I'm with Seif on this one. If a gun is put to my head, though, I want a mage. This slippery slope of Redmage-dom is tricky because a RDM is a hybrid to begin with and classes are hybrids and there's too much hybrid-ing. I'm more in favor of the Caster range DD-defuffer being Arcanist>Oracle and lets skip the RDM business until we have a solid BLM and WHM.
we are getting a solid WHM and BLM in 1.21. so solid they will be actual blackmage's and whitemage's. the talk of a new class is not for 1.21 (though you never know they might surprise us, but i wouldn't bank on it) so you statement is pointless. however i do not see the next caster class coming with RDM as job. i've said before, i'll say again arcanist/timemage but black and whitemage before any new classI'm with Seif on this one. What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.
