FFXIV Promotion and Amazon

I would like to forward something to the Square Enix N.A. division and word of warning to other players outside of the US.

FFXIV Promotion on the North American server is only open to people in the U.S.A. apparently now.

In the future Square Enix if you want to run a promotion for a server cluster that host people from Canada down to the tip of South America don't do it with Amazon as they will only give them to people in the U.S.A. which is very frustrating for those of us in other places. Yes some people outside the U.S.A. have gotten lucky like my wife (they didn't know she was from Canada till after they sent them) but I have been told twice now they wont honor it for anybody else even if you buy off the .Com website.

This has been highly frustrating do to the rules not being applied evenly or the lack of foresight that went in to running it through Amazon.com which only stats that it "may or may not apply to people outside the U.S.A." in the fine print hidden past a hyperlink.

Not sure what your talking about. Yeah u may have to pay import/extra fees to ship to Canada or other places, but the code is sent via email and is pretty much sent out instantly after placing an order. The items which you may be trying to purchase might only be able to ship to the USA, but I know there are other items that are eligible that can be shipped outside of USA.

I'm Canadian and got the promotion done both times just fine.

I did my purchase on day one while living in the UK but my account is US.
