    Becnhmark 2.0?

Just wondering if we'll see a new benchmark before 2.0

I would love to actually be able to get a nice readout of my computer performance before the actual release so that I can make any updates that may be needed.

Is this something in the works? If so, when do you expect to have a ball park idea of it's release?

You wont need any update 2.0 just allow low end pc to play every high end pc that playing ffxiv on high setting can play the new ffxiv even high setting. For the looks of it you can display more Char seeing how the limit is 40 with crystal tools.

True, but it's more so about the reassurance. Saying that it will work and watching it work with my own eyes is a little bit different. It's not so much about low-end vs high-end PC's. It's more about compatibility when you're running a mac on a W7 Bootcamp partition. Given that, my computer runs pretty similar to most normal Windows based PC's, but there are minor differences that I'd like to keep an eye on, and a benchmark would help this tremendously.

I agree, a 2.0 benchmark is definitely needed seeing that the new engine will improve performance. We need an accurate idea on how our computers are going to perform with the new version.

However, it's still a bit far off to get a benchmark any time soon...

If it works as bad as the first benchmark, I don't need it.
First benchmark told me I can't play FFXIV on my laptop because my score was soo low, like 200..or 500 or something out of 8000.
But since the beginning I was able to play on average to high settings..

Given the amount of development the game has gone under with the new dev team I doubt it would be bad. Most benchmarks will underscore you if you don't have the "recommended" specs for the game.

Yes, it is a bit far off, but just knowing about it and maybe a time frame on how soon before 2.0 they want to release it would be cool and that would suffice.

When the becnhmark came out said my pc could not even run at mid setting and it was wrong so i don't really truth SE becnhmark maybe 2.0 would be better.

We can only hope. My opinion of the new dev team vs the old dev team would suggest it would be a little bit more reliable.

It would be the right thing to do. Or just remove the benchmark section from the site overall.
