Character Creation Failure

I'm less amazed by the fact that Square didn't deliver more options than two new hairstyles, and more amazed by the fact that many people seem totally cool with that. It's like thanking someone for giving you a penny when you just saw them light a hundred dollar bill on fire.

I am disappointed by the lack of new character customization options, although I suspected this would happen. There have been so many requests for this that have gone utterly unanswered, to the point that I can only think back to their ARR PowerPoint presentation about listening to feedback and laugh.

Someone has that in their Sign if I remember correctly, but it surely would be good to have that slide posted again, it might remind a few people that listening to what is said is far more than simply hearing it being said.

More character customisation = require more processing from consoles&PC.





Take APB Reload on consoles as an example...the devs said the reason for poor performance is because of their character customisation and how much you can do to them.


Granted we'll never have that much freedom on 14, it's just an example of what could happen, people with PC/laptop that plays in medium would probably struggle and have to lower their settings even lower and i wouldn't imagine how it would be on ps4.

Hiiiiighly doubtful, considering FFXIV's customization options are barely better than WoW's. There are tons of MMOs out there with very detailed character creation that run perfectly fine.
