Character Creation Failure

The only thing I'd really like that I can think of is for them to remove face types, and simply make the different nose/mouth/eye/horn variations interchangeable.

I love my fin horns, but don't like the fact that all of female Au Ra face 4's mouth options look serious, whereas the other faces all have at least one option that looks cheerful (Though I suppose that could be also be remedied by simply allowing your character's default expression to be changed, because my face looks fine to me when smirking/smiling).

Would have loved a new race. That is disappointing to me. Relative to new character options, dunno, would have been nice but certainly not a deal breaker for me. The Aura were very well received, just look around to see how many people are using them. Relative to hairstyles, I suspect we'll get a ton more over time.

I am not disappointed there aren't more character creation options simply because they didn't say that they were planning that as part of the expansion and generally I don't get hopes over things that aren't promised. I am however totally behind lobbying for more options just as I am for having them work on and create a glamour wardrobe feature.

I think it is unfair to say they don't pay attention. Just cause they don't do something doesn't mean they aren't listening. They have to make choices based on priorities, realistic targets and demand. People have been screaming for more inventory space for ages and so that has been something they have invested in heavily this expansion. People have wanted more housing available so they are adding an additional 33% to the current housing amount. People really wanted RDM and SAM and they have made both classes. They are doing cross realm party features that people have asked for. They are adding an extra layer to difficulty of 8 mans which people have asked after.

Just cause they don't do everything or comment on everything doesn't mean they don't pay attention.

For two of those three things, they have apparently ignored what the community has actually asked for. 40 additional inventory spaces does NOT actually solve the problems of inventory in this game. A glamour log, a tackle box, all those random currencies from raids or beast tribes going into the currency tab - those are the serious suggestions that the community has pushed for years. Likewise with housing, there has been clear consensus here that just adding wards is never going to fix the housing problem. For one, there will simply never be enough houses for everyone with a limited supply. For another, the problem is more than just the supply. The way housing is currently designed means that we are extremely limited in decor count and customization ability.

We say SE doesn't pay attention because they clearly aren't.

They are aware of requests for options to add things such as tattoos and body hair for your character, and that if they were to implement them, it would be more realistic system-wise to make them equippable items, rather than options at Character Creation.

Can they at least just give us muscle tone sliders on all the races? Why can't a hunter-gatherer race like the Sun Seeker Miqo'tes or the noamdic Xaela Au Ra be lithe & toned?

The only thing I want out of CC and the only that disappoints me is the lack of added beards. A beard is the only thing I would change on my character, a character that's from Balmung and never used a fantasia or name change on since ARR beta.

I have just really always wanted a better Regis-beard then the stubble my guy has now. But I still hold out hope we may get a beard if and when we do a ffxv crossover.

Eh. I expected it.

I don't mind two hairstyles. We had that in Heavensward too. I care more about being a glorious Red Mage at long last. They never promised an overhaul of character creation either so the fact it didn't happen is fine with me.
