Player Emote Wish List Thread

I would like for us to have a place for everyone to share Emote requests or suggestions for the Forum Admins to see and hopefully implement into the game.

I'll start by Requesting

Flirty Emote- (the emote that the lady Miqo'tes at Forgotten Spring are teasing the Hyur across the water with) With Hardly any playful flirt emotes I find it sad this wasn't available to us by now.


Talkative Emote- Many NPCs do several different emotes through out the world but why cant we? This would be a great emote for RPers so we aren't standing there staring at each other blankly.

I'd like to be able to do that one emote we see in cutscenes a lot (lol, that's specific).

You know, the one where our character sort of punches the palm of one of their hands, right before a battle or a mission, like they're getting pumped up and ready to go?
Also, the little head tilt (well, I know it's a head tilt for female Miqo'te, not sure for other races) that our characters do when someone addresses them. I know my character does a similar equivalent when I execute one emote (can't remember which one it is off the top of my head) while she's /sitting, but can't we just have a /headtilt emote in general?

I think the biggest thing that is weird to me is that we CANNOT eat or drink actual in-game food items while seated either on the ground on in a chair. Hey lets not even mention the inability to emote at all while walking...

Other than that I'd like to see many of the emotes that NPCs have, such as drinking (wine bottle), drinking (mug), eating/drinking/smoking (pipe). Flirting, leaning to one side/hand on hip emote (tired/intoxicated), and fanning oneself in the heat would be great.

Most of these are emotes I've seen or been able to use in other MMOs but the one I have no seen but think would fit wonderfully in FFXIV would be holding hands. I know we (currently) cannot emote while walking, so I get that portion may never happen, but standing and holding hands (or kneeling for Lala) would be great. Even an arm around the shoulder would be fun.

I would love the ear wiggle for the /joy emote for female miqo'te - I wanna be able to do the fwip-fwip as a lady cat too damn it!
Also it irks me that female miqo'te don't move their tails in idle animations. Male miqo'te sort of lazily swish theirs.
Even if it's not possible to add an emote in for the tailed races to swish their tails (though I would love that to be a thing!) a little more movement in idle poses for the female miqo'te would be nice.

Likely because Fem Miq's are reused from 1.0 and Male Miq's are new and fresh.

Also I'd like to be able to lay down on the grass - really lay down and look comfortable, not play dead.
