The quote I gave was some live letter or fan fest (don't remember exactly where) and that is before what you are saying, I think it was stated before SB was released. When and where did they say what you are quoting?Unless they've said something since that I've missed, the last I recall them saying was something to the effect that "The first series of changes stressed the system much harder than we thought it would. We can no longer be certain an additional expansion is possible."
SE is playing ostrich.
If they made a change where you could stack 999 instead of 99. This would give us some leeway I reckon.
This is coming apparently. But.. I don't think it's going to free up more than a couple slots for me personally. I've got maybe 3 currencies and 1 crafting mat type this would help with. I've already limited myself to single stacks of everything else.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
Same, the most notable item it will help with is ventures, but that should be in a currency tab anyway, not in inventory.
Another thing I know I want more of is sands and cotton balls because the insane amount things require, yikes.
Yeah, the only time it would help me really is when going for gathering/crafting achievements and I need thousands of things on me at a time. Once I get those though, I doubt it will come up tremendously often. Granted, with drops as they are in this game, its not impossible, I suppose.
I agree with you totally, I just made the suggestion which would help slightly, I find having single stacks not that helpful because to craft one material it takes for an example 4 logs to make one lumber, so your single stack does not last long. I currently have 4 retainers and it is still not enough.
All we can do is hope I guess, but like my previous post a few pages back, "we are in the 2nd expansion and it is still a issue" I find it unacceptable that this is not addressed and not high priority on there list that should have been corrected in HW already.
You have item bloat in this game with noway to store it without buying additional 3rd party storage options, and while players are buying this service they are in no hurry to correct it, since we don't really have a choice if you love to craft and that is your main enjoyment in the game. It is a little unfair imho!
sorry for the rant![]()
I doubt it. For most omnicrafters, the problem is with the number of different items needed across the board. Very few people are going to stock 200 Electrum Ingot, for example, but they probably stock Iron/Steel/Silver/Electrum/etc ingots. I don't stock even 99 lumber, but I stock lumber of each type because you never know when you are going to need that lumber.

Unable to obtain the cracked cluster. Your inventory is full.
Start putting currency in a currency tab, this is ridiculous now. Also in wow if this happens they automatically mail you the item lost. What is going on here?
Also the game managed to squeeze in 150 gil music scroll and some gear I do not care about in my inventory, but not the most valuable item, makes sense. If they can't increase our room then start decreasing items. Music scrolls should not be taking space, clusters should have a higher priority then useless gear. Game has too many items. Or better yet, cracked clusters really should in a currency tab. Why does this game have so much currency put in inventory?
