Oh, and I'm down with a tackle box for fishing and getting currencies in the currency screen. Putting some in key items is ok too, but if it's a currency why isn't it in there?

yep my friend went on a long break from crafting issues and spendin too muc time cleaning out items. You simply spend too much time in retainer menus, there needs to be a better wayInventory has been an issue forever. I think I even rage unsubbed at one point because I was so sick of spending half my time in game in inventory screens. lol. Anyway, I resubbed recently to get ready for the expansion and because I couldn't resist the Goku cloud mount.
Honestly, except in the armory it's not really an issue of how many slots they have. There are more than enough slots for general usage. It's end game management that stinks to high heaven, and almost no thought to storage. The devs have cited server rewrites as issues for expanding the slots, because it writes back and forth a copy of the character often while playing. Probably a legitimate issue. Retainers somewhat rectify that by taking items out of your inventory. But the retainers have always seemed like a cludge. It's like they took a bunch of mismatched ideas and shoved them all together....

In general, I agree with what people have been saying. I want to comment specifically on what some have said about too much key item space...I am wondering if the new slots we are getting in main inventory are actually being taken away from key item inventory. It's like players (and retainers) have 175 main inventory slots, but in players 75 of them were reserved for key items (not sure what it means that only one page shows up in small inventory grid, but I doubt they'd show slots that weren't actually there in expanded view). Perhaps they did some analysis and determined that only 20 of them are necessary, so they will release the other 55. Maybe we'll get fewer open quests available in the journal as a result. I'm not sure if the key item slots are inherently different from normal slots on the back end, but it may prove the easiest way for them to expand our inventory within the existing system.
It just be imagery, that it is 75 spots because it just appears that way because of the expanded option. I do not think it works like that, taking off 40 items from key and putting them in our real. Maybe if ps3 limitations was still a thing....In general, I agree with what people have been saying. 16.Also there is menu bloat on these retainers, a lot of menus are not needed on them.
"entrust or withdraw items"
Sell items in your inventory on the market"
"sell your retainer's inventory on the market"
You need to learn how to work the UI. This can be hidden.
There's no reason it wouldn't be 75 slots - it works just like a normal inventory up until at least 28 items (highest amount I've had at one time). Unless it arbitrarily stops at 30 or 50 or some other short of 75, it works just like the regular inventory.

I hear people complain about inventory all the time and I really don't get it. I use 3 battle jobs @ 60 and have every gathering/crafting job leveled to max (save fisher, because that is really boring) and I have zero problems running out of inventory space. I spend maybe a couple of minutes once or twice a week keeping my 2 retainers' inventories neat and tidy and getting rid of things.
People all the time saying we need more inventory space, I think people just need to be a bit more organized.
Actually, has anyone considered making a second account using the free trial now that it's becoming unlimited to use as storage mules?
I need reword that, I am sorry. I meant to say "It just might be imagery" because how not doing expanded makes it appear to be 25 spots or whatever. Regardless it is off my main point and that is I do not think they would do that due that space transfer thing from key items due to how small the limits would be.
They can't trade or something or use retainers or something. Even if we assume they can be used for 100 free spots, the time wasted in trades is insane (I am an alt drove me nuts so I stopped doing it, I also have 8 chrs on this account. trade, log out, trade log out, too much time wasted, too much of a PITA.)
Ill try not to be rude, really I am but this is a pet peeve of mine. You have so little progress and you wonder why space is not an issue? Are you even active in crafting or even achive 4 star status? I look up your jobs and found you got 4 jobs that is combat 60, im guessing you do not gear SMN and use same gear on SCH as WHM. I see a lot of gear is 260, are you trying to save up currecny to upgrade them? This also takes up space. Some people use 2 different gear sets on the left, and know 2 friends that have all 60 that do this, that gears each job differently to glam it different. One is i258+ all jobs (3-i270) and the other is 235+ while having a handful of i265 +. Both have different sets on left for glam reasons that share gear. Furthermore 25 armory is not enough if you are active in all jobs due to how upgrading relic works and how people may gear PvP and PvE differently.I hear people complain about inventory all the time and I really don't get it. Now as I am getting my relic book for SCH (as in this character/account), I have to use 3 books. One for push over content, one for when acc is needed, and the 3rd for PvP since I do not want piety on my book when I am PvPing. It may change to 2 books once this relic is 275 but I doono how the 2 books will compare since all I got is crit for push over content. If you want to fully optimize the space we get makes the game unplayable, we do not have enough. Furthermore, you do not even gather on the most space intensive gathering job there is, and will only be second to unspoiled cycles of using both MIN and BTN at once.
Getting all crafts to 60 is a joke since the game hands you exp, and does not reflect space use. How active you are in crafting or even knowing this fact:
I do not care if they have 1000 food (meals), that's not the complaint.
The complaint for CuL is needing 6 items to make something, where 3 of those are made from 6 other items, and one of those items is made from another 6 items. Yes it is that ridiculous it is one of the bread items. (well 4-6, depending what one ya talking about)
Is a completely different manner.
For your hording point:
Some people keep some gear for glams because it takes too long to get.. (again) Like I am not going to toss out my 270 shire book, and since I am an alt ill prob keep it in my weapon armory since my retainers are filling up. There is a high chance even as an alt account I need a 3rd retainer for SB.I have kept count since my last drop in Haulbreaker HM, I have run that GD dungeon 347 times and not once has the Berserker Gloves I've been after dropped. Not once. That is not a number I just pulled out, I have kept count of this one item and the attempts I've given. YP got to be out his mind.
