Chinese server is putting Legacy Chocobo on cash shop

I wonder why Yoshi and his team decided this. For those of you not familiar with Chinese server, despite the game is managed by a third party company in China, the company has to get the approval from SE to make any decision regarding the game. So, I think SE basically knows and allowed them to do this.

AFAIK, Legacy Chocobo is a reward for legacy players, yet there was technically no 1.0 in Chinese server, and now everybody on Chinese server can get legacy item from cash shop. Is it a good thing for them to make money out of this? Does it hurt the feeling of actual 1.0 players?

I appreciate the fact we can get Chinese/Korean exclusive items on mogstation now, but they were put in the local cash shops in the first place. Things like Legacy birds are not the same case imo, since they are not available for purchase, but act as a reward. Or maybe someday they will put it on Mogstation too?
I believe this only happens in Chinese server and not in Korean. What do you guys think about this?

They are in China with allot of restrictions, it's not like they can play on the rest of the world with their own servers and late patches, I personally don't see it hurting anyone and SE is a business that needs to make money.

You said it yourself, OP, there was no 1.0 on the Chinese servers/client, so the Legacy bird is just another item in the game files without any of the significance it holds over here. Placing it for sale on their Mog Station is no more significant than selling any other item on there.

If they did that on these servers where it DOES have more meaning (and the 1.0 devs promised it'd be exclusive to legacy players), it'd be a completely different story.

It's a completely separate version of the game and there was never any other way to earn it so I don't see a problem. Since I don't have a PC I had no way to earn it too and missing out on 1.0 hurt my feelings, but I just deal with it ;p

I always said this is the final straw for me. Seeing as how it was our exclusive reward I don't really agree with this...at all. Th fact that they did not have 1.0 does not justify it imho. Without legacy players they wouldn't even be playing their game.

I won't be going anywhere because they won't do this in our game lol. Oh and I have my 7.99/6 month sub (or 9.99 a month) and free alts :3 but I do love my mount and the lore behind it is touching.

The only reason I would say this is ok is from being standalone, meaning they can't mingle with us ever if I understand correctly. So that and the fact they did not have 1.0 why does it matter that point?
