    **Requesting HYPERION GM** Username 'Star Snake' is a hacked account. Please BAN it.

    As the title says, character 'Star Snake' is a hacked account. The character's original name was Cyrinus Valletzo. I have done everything I could possibly do to try and get the account recovered, but it seems a confirmation number or whatever was requested, when the user tried to claim rights to the account when calling in to support. If you don't believe that the account was hacked, check the IP address of the log-in history. I live in FL, and have been playing for well over 2 years. Wherever that user is, the IP address is going to be nothing similar to mine. I stopped playing for a while, then noticed in an email that my account was updated, when I never did such a thing. I tried to log-in, and well....my credentials were not excepted. I called support, and got it fixed for like an hour, but then I was randomly kicked. Called support again, and was told that the credentials changed.....again. This time though, they were requiring a confirmation number so I can get back in to my account. WTF? So now there's some random guy playing my account. Please BAN this character and the account. I can provide any information needed.

    Im glad i stumbled on this post I cant afford to lose my character with the amount farming/relic completing. I always had the security token device from Realm Reborns CE 3 years ago, but never knew what it was for till now lol

    The funny thing about this....I had a security token placed on once my account was first compromised...how the person was able to get the token removed when calling back in is beyond me!

    If He/She was able to have your token removed then they have access to your account on the Mogstation. You said that you received the token with the ARR CE addition. As long as you retained the Registration # provided then you should be able regain control of your account. Unfortunately you will have to work with Customer Service and not a GM. Call them, do not generate a ticket. Good Luck

    Various ways, if PC certain worms can get info, if they were power leveling perhaps -.- they gave their information, or if a friend got a hold of it to play it...ex friend now,

    Not implementing that this happened to you, but I've found myself in that situation once. My account wasn't compromised, however I switched phones, couldn't remember and find my emergency password to be able to manually remove the token myself. Contacted customer support, and after giving them tons of private information they removed the security token from my account without me having the emergency password or even verifying the token itself. I am not blaming the support, because in that case I was great full they are able to fix the problem that way, because I should have not thrown away the information in first place lol. But on the other hand, if a person gained access to all your information and it didn't even have to be via ffxiv itself, then that's one way after providing a long list of information/proof to have the token removed.

    As others have mentioned try contacting support itself again, I think your chances are higher then going through the forums. Best of luck.
