Character Creation Failure

Are you upset that the only 'additi0ons' to character creation are 2 new hairstyles?

Are you upset that the two new hairstyles are not in any way something you would use?

Are you amazed that with the increased budget for Stormblood, and it being the second Expansion there is no enhancement/upgrade to character creation or character models at all?

StormBlood doesn't even bring a new playable race, and still we get no character creation update.

How do you feel about this, what would you like to see in terms of character creation updates?

P.S. please nothing about Viera, this is about updates to character creation not new playable races.

In case it's not clear, I'm upset and disappointed, and at the same time angered and mystified that the increased development budget and lack of new playable race didn't add up to even minor additions to character creation.

Yoshi-P please take note, people have been asking for more character options for as long as I can remember, and your team has failed to address that desire in any meaningful way. Please revisit this, you have spent a lot of money on new server infrastructure and expansion development, there is no spend on a new playable race this expansion, why is there no update to character creation?

I'm not upset that there are 2 hairstyles. I also plan to use neither. I'm glad there's no new playable race.

Let us not forget that odds are we're not getting 2 hairstyles in the expansion, just at the launch.

I'd like more character creation options, but they've never given any indication they will ever happen (and have in fact made it pretty clear that it won't). I'm not disappointed because I never got my hopes up, nor will I, because the situation is pretty well known.

Character options aren't high up on my personal list of wants, so I'm not disappointed.

Having said that, I know plenty of people feel differently, so the decision is slightly puzzling.

I really wish they would do more with the character customization. I know it's not important to everyone but I LOVE designing characters and spend quite a bit on Fantasias to get a taste of everything. But unfortunately after so many years, it's running stale. I'd like more vivid, brighter red hair options that don't look so muddy or chestnut. Give Miqo'tes more ear options, separate the Au Ra horns from the face. Let us have hair styles from ALL the races, give Highlander males eye brow options, let us have a little more control over the sizes of facial features. Any standard, modern mmo lets us have these options. SE is always so far behind.

Edit: Also can we PLEASE get more longer hair or ponytails for girls and boys? I understand short hair really appeals to some people but there are also a lot of people that WANT long hair. Clipping or not, I can work around the clipping. But ALL of our new hairs minus the one from PotD have been shorter, boy cut style or pixie hair styles. The new hairs don't look ANY different from some of the hairs we already have.

I'm less amazed by the fact that Square didn't deliver more options than two new hairstyles, and more amazed by the fact that many people seem totally cool with that. It's like thanking someone for giving you a penny when you just saw them light a hundred dollar bill on fire.

I am disappointed by the lack of new character customization options, although I suspected this would happen. There have been so many requests for this that have gone utterly unanswered, to the point that I can only think back to their ARR PowerPoint presentation about listening to feedback and laugh.

So, with each new expansion that supposedly contains a whole game's worth of new content, you're completely content to sit by without expecting any additions to character creation? Whether they've said no before or not doesn't matter. Each new expansion delivers what is essentially a game refresh, that is the perfect time to offer updates and enhancements to character creation.

The 100$ bill would be a good comparison if we were playing an actual Dress Up Game. Not a lulzy sarcastic Glam is the true endgame kind of way, but we're playing an MMO and there's more to it than a burnt up 100$ bill over haircuts.

It's not that we wouldn't like more options. It's just that it's a low priority desire, compared to other things. That's why I am cool with it, because other things I care about more are coming.

Someone has that in their Sign if I remember correctly, but it surely would be good to have that slide posted again, it might remind a few people that listening to what is said is far more than simply hearing it being said.
