I have EU version, too (Germany)It takes me to a page explaining Crysta [ http://www.square-enix.com/eu/en/account/crysta/ ]
And when I click on the option [Add Crysta] below:
ERROR (11000)
This is an invalid operation.
And the same goes for every friend of mine who's playing EU version.
I can buy crystas
Are you maybe in england or outside the euro zone?
Good enough, Bay ^^ At least you guys might have average 6 months after today to finish adding new payment options safely. ^^Greetings all,
I'd like to make a follow-up to my previous comment, as well as what was posted on the Lodetsone on 12/16 (Please note that we are working to implement additional payment options around the commencement of billing in early January).
As tonight will bring a close to the free trial period for FFXIV, I wanted to give you an update in regards to the new payment method implementation we have been working on. While the new payment method will not be implemented in time for the start of billing tonight, I want to let you know that we are nearing the end of the implementation phase and will be moving on to QA for it soon. While I can’t offer a concrete date for its release, I will keep you all as up to date as possible as we work on implementing this new payment method.
A small reminder that it is not the region of the game that determines your available payment methods, but your country of residence.
eg: the EU region includes Switzerland and Australia, but neither of these countries are in the European Union or use the Euro financial system, but as far as game companies are concerned, they come under the Europe division's management umbrella.
I just don't understand what the fuss was about here, back in September of 2010 I signed up for an SE account, added my info to Click and Buy. just today my payment went out without me having to do anything other than have the money on my bank account, there was no giant confusion or mess like this thread would imply, Sure it would be nice to cut out the middle man and have SE charge me directly, but Its not really making any difference for me.
I wouldn't have a FUSS RO DAHHH with Click And Buy either, if only "THEY" accept my credit card! BUT GUESS WHUTTT they don't accept my credit cards! So what i'm suppose to do? wait till they add Crysta which they did say to add before 6th of January 2012?! but now delay?!I just don't understand what the fuss was about here, back in September of 2010 I signed up for an SE account, added my info to Click and Buy. just today my payment went out without me having to do anything other than have the money on my bank account, there was no giant confusion or mess like this thread would imply, Sure it would be nice to cut out the middle man and have SE charge me directly, but Its not really making any difference for me.
Are you able to please elaborate if this will be a direct CC transaction to SE for the service fees (not crysta)? I think knowing that that will definitely be an option would put a lot of players minds at ease. I know several who refuse to come back until it is in place, and I'd like to reassure them.As tonight will bring a close to the free trial period for FFXIV, I wanted to give you an update in regards to the new payment method implementation we have been working on. Quite a few issues have arisen with various people regarding click n buy's services. For those who have the ability to purchase crysta still need two third party routes in order to do so are are punished by having to purchase more than what the monthly fee actually is.I just don't understand what the fuss was about here, back in September of 2010 I signed up for an SE account, added my info to Click and Buy. just today my payment went out without me having to do anything other than have the money on my bank account, there was no giant confusion or mess like this thread would imply, Sure it would be nice to cut out the middle man and have SE charge me directly, but Its not really making any difference for me.
I can understand if the new system has gone beyond the deadline, it's a complicated thing to prepare. However, I feel it was in extremely poor practice to have commenced the billing of accounts adhering strictly to its own previously set deadline without the new alternatives being available as reported it would be. I feel the billing date should have been pushed back a week or so until that was completed.
They should have had this ready by today. They've had well over a year to work on it, so there really is no excuse.
I, as well ,am only presented with Click & Buy option.
When I proceed to register to Click & Buy they do not accept my country.
I have mailed SE about it and they replied that they can't do anything about that and that I should mail Click and Buy.
I did so months ago and they never replied.
It's nice that SE want money and all but it kinda feels that as long as Japanese players can play - They don't care.
I would not even bother with C&B I was for them at first, then after reading all the "info" on them, I canceled my account with them and luckily had card issues of a another kind, so I had to get a new CC. I now use Paypal > Crysta method. I am more confused then anything, as to why SE screwed this up so badly. but like I said before.... it is very clear that SE cares for their customers in the following order....
JP > US > EU > other
Sega is worse IMO though... they are more like....
JP>screw everyone else (Talking about Phantasy Star Universe)
Before SE even released this game back over a year ago, they should have researched a bit more into options that everyone could use.
