It is a "chinese server" emote, not a Doma emote. The chinese version have it already for a long time, long before 4.0
And why it is in the shop and not ingame? Because it was specially designed for china.

I don't see how Mog Station is a problem then. It would just be 'your loss' if you refuse to buy. If it's important, it'll be in the game.

You know there's easily been 20+ threads regarding this topic since the inception of MS. And no, this isn't me saying to post in one of those. But to point out that SE most likely does not care about what your opinion or stance is on the MS. In the vast majority of these threads there have been very little; if any, mod/GM attention outside of maybe stating the thread got out of hand and is being locked.
The horse has long since been dead, beaten to a fine pulp. The bones have been ground to a smooth dust. Regardless of what you do/say at this point will in all likelihood be for nil.

2 things.
1. Mogstation is cosmetic items ONLY and not a necessity.
2. You do not NEED it and you are not ENTITLED to it.
So if you dont NEED it, dont BUY it.
I'm tired of these threads popping up. Its the same answer and response EVERY TIME. There is no pay-to-win there, and the devs didnt have to provide these items (be it for purchase or for in-game), they chose to provide them to us. Their work, just like any artists work provided to a customer, should not have to be 'gifted'. Time and effort went into making it. If you cant see the value in their art, then don't buy it.

To expand upon that, money for servers and maintenance does not magically appear, especially if a bunch of people buy cheap gamecards from a third party or only the entry level sub. Otherwise we might as well have a F2P game that will turn sour in a couple of months (and there are already plenty of those). Damn right I'll buy 10 pots of dyes every now and then while supporting SE, even though they usually go to waste because I replace them2 things.

Ahh, I remember the events that gave goodies... Oh, wait I don't. I wasn't playing the game at the time and I missed those goodies. I'm thankful for MogStation and I'm thankful for getting a chance to obtain items I missed to get, or optional cosmetics I wouldn't be able to get otherwise. I don't get your problem. if you don't want it, don't buy it. None of those are game breaking.
Literally no one in this thread is arguing that these items should remain exclusive to those who were playing when the events happened. Rather, these items should be obtainable via in-game methods. If I bought one snow pile too few this past winter, why do I have to wait a year and pay $10 for another? What about the summer event--did every clothing manufacturer in Eorzea suddenly stop making red bikinis? It doesn't make any sense that we need to pay RL cash for these things.
Let alone the slough of NEW content that's never even touching the game. Remember when they added /throw? They did it in a quest. And the first three persistent dances--harvest dance, step dance, ball dance? Quests. The eastern dance would've been perfect as a quest in Doma in SB. Instead, you have to pay for it. /playdead isn't even a new animation like /throw or /huzzah or the free dances--I can tell you with certainty it took maybe half an hour of dev time if the guy went out for a smoke in the middle of it--but you have to pay for it. It's gone from a trickle to a flood lately. Almost none of this cosmetic stuff is making it into the game through normal means unless it's a promotion for another franchise paying to advertise to us, and it's highly disconcerting.

One thing to keep in mind.
These items are made just for the MogStation, they wouldn't exsist otherwise.
Its easy to say "This should of been gotten in game". But it wouldn't of been made.
I do however agree that seasonal items of past years should be gotten from a vendor the following year.
But with clear evidence that the MS cash is flowing back into the game (servers are expensive!) I'm happy to purchase things I missed or want.

Odin horse was shown off before the mogstation existed iirc (and it existed in the game anyway). Even after they added Odin as a trial, they stuck his horse in the mog station. That's the easiest and earliest example of something that absolutely 100% would have been an in-game reward if not for the cash shop existing.
Also to those of you saying "the mogstation is cosmetic items only it's called optional for a reason))))" - almost all of the gear in the game is cosmetic only because its lifespan is so short. Keep in mind that the only real, lasting rewards from the last three raid tiers have been mounts and minions.

I see the idea behind it, sure it will be better/definitely cheaper for those who missed on these items but my personal logic and reason behind being okay with buying those if I missed them is - they are seasonal event rewards, meaning they are valued of 1 month sub, I wasn't paying during this month be it because I wasn't playing or wasn't even aware of the game's existence. I pay equal or close to 1 month sub to get this item I missed on. I'm personally okay with that. Play dead and Eastern dance, yes it would've been better to obtain with quests but I also understand servers moving and upgrades require cash. :c
