    Change "animation locks" (makes the game too slow)

    There should be no reason why I cast bio, the spell is used first, then bane, then have bane not transfer the bio. I do not get the excuse why everything in this game is programed to register so slow in a fast pace game. FFXI did not have these slow register speeds. I just thought it was a server end processing issue since you still get hit by things you dodge as well. If animation locks makes us do things so slow, how come it does not apply to the monsters as well?

    Things should not be hitting you when you stun them, things should grant exp chains when you kill them when the timer still says "2 seconds" left. Why did you code this game to be so slow when it is fast pace?

    This leads to casting and using abilities on something that is dead already, wasting CDs in cases like that as well, wasting CDs because the game is too slow.

    Hmmm I don't have that problem to me it flows fluently perhaps settings? The only time I've encountered locks have been with DRG on elusive jump are you on PC / Mac/ PS4 ?

    I've found that the dots (Bio 1, Bio 2) have to actually tick damage before you use Bane otherwise they don't register. I never assumed this was animation related.

    Server latency.

    Other games show a delay on actions when this happens. FFXIV uses a clientside to serverside thing where it looks like something goes off instantly when you hit it. But doesn't register at the same time. Most classes won't notice it. But applying Bane after a dot or doing Mudras quickly on a Ninja makes it very noticeable.

    Idk if its animation-related or not. But these issues happen with a lot of skills.

    PLD: Hallowed Ground (Icon was visible, yet Tank still died to a tankbuster)
    WHM: Benediction >_> heal was used, tank died anyway cos it didnt get there in time, yet the skill is now on cooldown
    SCH/SMN: Bio --> Bane ( SMN: Bio --> Fester, same issue)

    I think Ninjas having issues with Mudras, too....


    But yes, I'd like a fix for it cos its super annoying.

    Benediction definitely does have an animation to cast delay because I've cast it on players before when they're around 10-15% health and by the time it actually "healed" them they were dead from taking fatal damage. The Ninja Mudra is not nearly as bad as it was in ARR but there are still random/rare occasions where my Mudra locks up on me. There's not really a pattern to when or how it happens.

    Yeah I've noticed the bane thing for sure. I have to wait for the dot icon to actually show up on the enemies status bar for bane to work. Also, for me Tetragrammaton is more "instant" than Benediction (instantly kill target) is. I don't have the best internet in the world though so I always just attributed it to lag.

    Hopefully with the new server upgrade thingy this will all get better.

    I do think that some things such as limit breaks should keep their animation locks. They are already a sort of "oh crap" get out of dodge button that we otherwise wouldn't have (healer lb3) so I think people should have to put more thought into using them at appropriate times to avoid death by animation lock.

    Ama is talking about the small delay before Bio actually takes effect so Bane and Fester works.

    A problem that's supposedly due to server latency with registering buffs and debuffs, yet was misteriously fixed for Astral Fire and Umbral Ice. I wonder why

    Benediction, as well as the tank immortality skills are very clearly intentionally delayed.
