Saw an earlier post about the items being vanity only; this doesn't seem to be the case, at least with the gatherer tools. I'm not complaining though because the battle classes are more or less taking the spotlight now. This is a good way for DoH/DoL to get some useful items.

thats one i wouldnt worry about too much, chances are you can just find a few people with the peices and "share" them for the achievment.

also the prices on all of them are pretty dirt cheap compared to what they used to be, and i somehow doubt they will go up too much

I dunno, I can see them temporarily skyrocket as people try to take advantage of the new achievements regarding them. You're right though, it probably won't be hard to find someone with the pieces you can trade for just to get the achievement.

so i checked prices on most of these items

buccaneer stuff going for 1-2mil still
harl and templar for 200-400k

good thing i got a friend who held onto a full bucc set lol. the rest, well, im sure ill find it too as will others

Lodestone history already keeps track of when you trade items with Rowena, I believe.

If that's the case, you may only get the achievement when you trade your runestones for each piece of a set, not just equipping someone else's.

Well, my OCD mind has effectively been satiated for the next year...

Hope they come up with a some Achievements that aren't just number counter though. Still, looks good to me.

I definitely agree that it would be very nice to have a clarification on this from the devs. I am also extremely excited for the acheivement system, but I just finished the storyline quests, and I would be so demotivated if I had to create a new character solely to get those achievements that are impossible to repeat such as that. I'm really hoping that the history system, while a completely different system as stated, will still be referenced.
