Nice, I am pretty excited to start crossing achievements off my list. Also, getting actual rewards is neat too. Hopefully the rewards are useful. Titles are cool as well.

My question is, with achievements based upon reaching every aetherial gate and aetheryte camp, will they finally remove the level ~90 mobs (the aggressive ones) that now one-shot everybody and never had any reason to exist in a game where we can only reach level 50?
The Levelcap will raise soon enough. SE never said we would stay at 50, they said they will raise the cap every 1-2 Years.
It's not much of an achievement if you can just saunter in to every camp with your hands tied behind your back
I agree that it's frustrating getting one-shotted at 50, but I also like the fact that I'm not invincible and that there is still some risk to exploration.
On topic - I'm looking forward to these achievements. It'll give me something to do when nobody in LS is on (which seems to be the case more often than not these days).
Kinda silly and wasteful to have all that data and no reasonable way for players to use it. Would be nice to scale the mobs down to the current player level range and use it for additional content and alternative leveling areas. Rather than have it rot like it is now. It's not much of an achievement if you can just saunter in to every camp with your hands tied behind your back

Personally I don't feel that objectives like, reach all the nodes, should really be a challenge. Challenge is more reserved for defeat Moogle King type of achievements.
I understand where you're coming from. I'm just of the opinion that any content that's worth points, or rewards should present some sort of challenge, and that it should force you to use your brain a little bit (running past a bunch of mobs on your chocobo that you know won't aggro you requires no thought).Kinda silly and wasteful to have all that data and no reasonable way for players to use it. Also I have to assume that the high level mobs exist for when we get to that level (the cap will go up to 99 eventually, as evidence by the higher tier spells/skills, and armor that were dug up in the dats). They're mostly just scaled up versions of the lower level mobs, and I'm guessing that they were placed in the fields for the purpose of providing a road block for high level players, so that they are forced to tread lightly in some situations.
I started a http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...evement-ideas! thread for ideas for achievements and what they could do with em, few days ago.
It would be sad to those who already completed these things. but the server data is there, so possibly it will be able to recognize their information and then reward them on the achievement menu accordingly.
That's of course if you're under the assumption that all the achievements were created for only level 50 people to obtain.
Personally, I feel the node one is more mid level player goal like 10-35. Eventually when we have new players and not just us die hards come on, they will need their stepping stone goals to accomplish as well.
But by that logic all of the mobs around Lv40 and 50 camps should have their levels dropped, too. A low level would be hard pressed to get to Broken Water without incurring the wrath of the mob of Gnats and Diremites that stand in their way. That's of course if you're under the assumption that all the achievements were created for only level 50 people to obtain.

The Aetheryte achievements seem more like something that you would be expected to complete throughout your experience of leveling. Unless of course you know a high level player that's willing to drop all of their anima on you to port you to all of the camps.
