World of Warcraft - Hadronox Denied: Defeat Hadronox in Azjol-Nerub on Heroic Difficulty before he webs the top doors and prevents more creatures from spawning.
In the early days of this achievement, groups with low DPS used a glitch exploit. You'll need a hunter, rogue, mage, or night elf to pull one of the crushers, and then use an aggro reset ability (feign death, vanish, invisibility, or shadowmeld). This will make the crushers despawn. Run to the end of the hallway and defeat Hadronox there.
So... you get an achievement for an easy kill of an easy boss. :/

I feel a great disturbance in Eorzea, as if millions of gatherers and crafters suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Please note that the following types of achievements will not be instantly unlocked upon speaking to the NPC because these stats will be reset and begin counting from patch 1.20 onwards:
- Achievements related to the number of synths
- Achievements related to the number of gathers

+1 for the Star Wars reference.
On a serious note. I'm very glad that we got confirmation that the majority of achievements will be retroactive, as I could have sworn I read somewhere a few weeks back that they wouldn't be. This news made my day.
However, I empathize with those who have focused on DoH & DoL classes. They seem to keep getting the shaft. :/

A flawed design at best. Granted, its almost unavoidable, but given that, they shouldn't of even included them.
They should of made achievements for obtainable gear wearing only on EX Items. There, problem solved.
I'm just tired of the hand outs. And the achievement system seemed to be the opposite of that.

Sure! Just not to the same extent as simply getting traded the armor set, putting it on and then talking to an NPC.
For the EX Gear, all I need to be is in the same party as the person that opened the chest or defeated the NM and I could be passed the gear. Don't have to do any actual fighting.

Because of a small handful, an insignificant fraction of achievements the entire system is now hand outs? It's still as it sounded, not handouts. You still have to work for every other achievement in the book. Also using the loophole for the gear achievement is optional. You could always get it the hard way.A flawed design at best. You know, for players who want to get it the hard way it's pretty fucking hard. 400 Faction points a try after you've cleared the first two tiers, not to mention drops are not guaranteed. You've got to grind leves (which most people don't bother with these days) just to get the points to even try.
Not including them just because of a small loophole is ridiculous as well. They were for a time the hardest gear to get in the game. Not the best necessarily but definitely up there on difficulty.

I'm talking more about Dungeon EX Gear.Sure! Just not to the same extent as simply getting traded the armor set, putting it on and then talking to an NPC.

So glad I waited to finish botany and mining
