If people're going to bring existing tools into the discussion, let's not pretend they don't have every single feature someone would ever want for harassing people, and we absolutely should not want to make it easier for people to harass others.


In re: "If people are parsing to harass, report them!"

Status quo for people who want to parse: they parse or ask a friend to parse.
If parsers were allowed: they would parse or ask a friend to parse.

Status quo for people who don't want to be harassed: If someone parses to harass, and you report them, they are clearly in violation.
If parsers were allowed: If someone parses to harass, you would have to argue your case.

Things wouldn't change for people who want to parse, and things would only become more of a hastle for the victims of harassment and bullying.
