    Mob stacking

Hello! I was hoping for some tips on stacking mobs in trash pulls. It seems like when a pull hits critical mass, the mobs just go "Oh, pardon me. I'm in your way!" and spread out around the tank until they are well beyond that nice frontal cone you're looking for.

Any tips from those who have got a better handle on this?

I didn't notice or mind as much until my WAR hit higher level. Overpower is a bit harder to hit everyone with than Flash.

It is possible for players to stack on mobs, or on each other. It is not possible to stack mobs on other mobs.

When pulling sufficient large mobs that they start to push each other sideways, move into the lead mob, just shy of its centre point - this freezes the entire mob 'cone' in place. If you let the mobs come to you instead of proactively pushing into them, the lead mobs will stop at maximum melee range, attack, and the mobs behind them will walk around them, which causes the fan problem.

Bear in mind you should do this after running through the group, so that the 'cone' is facing away from your party. I generally use Flash to initiate aggro in the initial run-through if the group is large enough that overpower doesn't reach all of them at the start, before using Overpower when the cone is formed.

P.S. Overpower is longer than it looks.

If there are large mobs near your end camp its also a good idea to agro as close to them as possible, this will tend to make them flank the pack leaving the smaller frames on the inside of the grouping. Double benefit as mobs effective range is from the outside of their target circles, but targeted radial aoes from your party are from the center point of the target, and do not cover more area regardless of mob size.

    Attack, step backwards, repeat.
