But I cant tell you how many times before I actually got to current content I was told and directed to you know catch up with everyone else. Ive stated before this isnt a game you can just simply do what you want to do this is a game thats very dependent on what the community is willing to do and the community aside from the small amount of people on this thread could give two craps about doing stuff once its old the proper way.
Okay, I cant keep myself from responding to this, because you're still missing a really, really important part of the game and how its supposed to work, be played and how to sucessfully clear the content: Networking.

I am currently planning to reinstate a Coil-static to have a little challenge before Stormblood. Let me tell you how I'm doing this:
    1) I asked two friends if they were intrested in doing so - they both were.
    2) I made a post in the FB group of an "FC" - it has about 30 members, good number for a FC, if you ask me
    3) So far three other people have said they're intrested in doing this content - I asked them yesterday evening.
    4) I have created a linkshell over years now, thats purpose is excatly this: Have a pool of people you know, you're familiar with, you know are bringing a certain skill to the table and who you can ask if they're intrested in content like that - it has currently 74 memembers, about 40 of them are active.
    5) Furthermore I'm part of several other "social" Linkshells, where I can ask for people to help out

I have a whole network of people to do content with - I dont even have to go anywhere near PF, if I dont want to. Raids and Trials are supposed to be content for groups, statics even. They require that you find other people to do this content with - I'd actually consider that part of the challenge. If you dont want to take on that challenge, then that content simply isnt for you. I'm sorry. Not every lone, lazy wolf has to get raid-clears.

This game is neither only for "me" nor is it only for "newbies" nor the "lone wolf". This game offers a wide variety of content - crafting, gathering, just questing, time-based grinds, skill-based farms, dungeons with varrying diffculty, raids, trials. Some is challenging for those who want that. Some is not challenging for those who dont want to. There is content for every group and everyone can pick the content they like - and everyone has to accept, that if they dont do certain content because its not for them, they wont get the rewards from that. Those rewards can be anything from a drop, to an achievment, to a mount or even to a sidestory. The alchemist-questline is great - but if you dont craft, you'll never see it. And crafting takes time, effort and - to a degree - skill aswell. Should we just unlock those stories for everyone to follow too? Because some people would rather have an interactive movie/novel instead of a game?

I dont want to withhold anything from new people, but I want them to know that there is content that has certain requirements - and if they dont like that, thats okay but that content isnt for them then.
You need to let go of the idea that everyone deserves or even has to have access to the whole game, without doing anything for that.

And you have to make friends, good friends that you can trust and who share your intrests. I've taken the liberty and checked your Lodestone-profile aswell as your FC - it seems you're part of a fairly large one (close to 500 members...) and I wouldnt be surprised if thats part of the reason you're having so many issues with this content and feel so dearly for every poor new person - people might not be extremly willing to help random strangers, at least not all the time (I, and many others, still do), but thats quite different when it comes to friends or even just FC-members and acquaintances. I might make false assumptions here right and maybe your FC is a great group of 491 best friends, but its saying something that you've surronded yourself with potentially 490 other people and yet cant find 7 of them to do content with you in a way you'd like to do it - while I managed to have around 70 people at hand who share my intrests and are absolutly willing and intrested to join for that content.
And now you can ofc say "Well, good for you then!" but my point here is: I've made sure to find myself people I share intrests with, so I can enjoy the game to its full potential. If you didnt do that and are now missing out, thats enterily on you.
No one in your FC wants to help you? Look for a better FC! (my advice would always be to pick a small one...)
Need someone extra? Make a PF - if someone joins, be nice to them and you might end up adding them to your friendslist!
Create a linkshell to collect all your skilled friends who share a common intrest (for example: farm EX-Primals) and you'll never have to touch DF or PF again.
If you want to play alone, dont make any friends and treat this like a solo-game, pretending other people in dungeons are NPCs, thats fine - but accept that there is a limit on how far you can go with that. And thats you whos setting this limit.

Coil isnt solo-content. This game has enough solo-content. (And by "solo" I mean: "Can be cleared with 7 other randoms that you'll never see again") Lets keep a bit of challenging group content, shall we?
I'm not asking to instate raid-diffculty levels in casual content because "They've had 4 man dungeons long enough, now its our turn!" either.
Let everyone choose the type of content they want to do - personally, I'd even consider coil unsyched the midcore-content people are asking for: flexible groups, set-ups and even difficutlties, depending on how many people you bring. Mechanics are still relevant enough to be dealt with but except for a exceptions wont instantly wipe you anymore - and guess what: those mechanics that can wipe you if you fail them, are found in normal dungeons aswell. There is absolutly no reason at all to make Coil easier than Sastasha NM - on the contrary: I'd expect anyone who does Coil mechanic-free to be extremly dissapointed in it.
