Coils of Bahamut... and its inconsistent challenge level.

Yeah back in like, the day and stuff, this might have been something "uber" but now... its errm... like 50th level... yeah yesterdays news.

This has nothing to do with any kind of uber... it has to do with the fact you can't que for this one and do it normally anymore.

If it were either updated with level 60 gear, and the challenge level upgraded appropriately you might see people start doing it again. Or just drop it down to the normal 50th level content as its not relevent as some kind of uber top level raid anymore... so... no one does it.

Ergo... if you really want to do this, you're not going to be able to do it in the normal way anymore.

Ie, I just queue up for Alex, or Dun... and hey I'm in. Can't do that with this one until they either upgrade it... or downgrade it...

Take your choice, because right now its neither one... and it sure the heck isn't the top grade raid anymore.

First off: SHE simply said that you wiped because you failed mechanics - I even offered an explantion on how to handle them and analysed what might have went wrong - something, you and your group should have done, to figure out your mistake and fix it. My ego is fine, thank you very much - I dont need to inflate it with video game achievments, but I still enjoy a challenge - something we dont seem to have in common.
I'm not even saying this content is "uber" - I'm saying: This content still has mechanics that you need to deal with properly or it can and will wipe you, even at level 60 - and there is really, really nothing wrong with that. If you dont want to handle mechanics, stick to the 90% of content in the game that are less punishing and leave the challenging content alone for people like me, who prefer to play this game once in a while without the need of netflix on a second screen because its so boring to only have to press 4 buttons in a dungeon again.

I'll tell you again: Doing this content in DF was never the normal way. Doing this content with randoms was never intended. How do I know that? Even back in the day when it got unlocked and was still current content, you couldnt excatly queue for the Final Coil because, guess what: It required you to do so many mechanics that you needed a static for it.
Coil wasnt put into DF because "Now its so easy, everyone can do it!" but to make it more convenient for full groups to queue up for it - instead of having to walk to an NPC, have everyone in the same area and then select which turn you wanted to do.
You're under a big missconception if you believe that Coil was intended to be queued for - its basically the same with todays Toptier content that is in DF but wont pop because people know that PUGs wont be able to handle mechanics.

If the fight really froze, that is, again, a bug - that you can report.
Guess what - bugs and errors happen in a video game! Best fix here is: "Turn it off and on again" - not cry for nerfs...
