Friendly reminder that the forums are what we used to call a "vocal minority" in that a small number of players even bothers logging in and doing anything here at all. The sample of opinions and personalities you find here does not accurately reflect the entire body of players by a long shot.

Some people avoid these forums like the plague. Other people browse them for amusing snippets and post them to @ffxivforums.txt for the rest of us to chortle over.
