Gear bought from market now Market Prohibited - not spiritbond

I have a lot of gear bought from the market board and even though there is minimal or no spiritbond it is now market prohibited. What causes this and is there anyway to reverse it so I can get rid of excess gear?

Is it because the items are dyed and/or glamoured, and if so will removing those things mean I will be able to sell they gear again?

Any time you use gear--be it for leveling or glamour--it becomes bound to you. Even at 1%. There is no way to reverse this. Best you can do is either:

--Convert the gear that is 100% spiritbonded into materia (results are random)
--Desynth used gear that cannot be converted (anything 99% or less), if you are trying to level up any desynth for a particular crafter (requires one crafter to be at least level 30, and completion of a Sidequest)
--Sell the excess gear to an NPC vendor

Dyeing a piece of gear does not cause it to become bound to you. However, if you used it at any time for glamour, it does (1% spiritbond).


Addition: Any of the gear you say has no spiritbond to it, if it is green gear (from dungeons), blue gear (tomestone gear), or aetherial pink gear (or Sunburst, if you do Diadem), those cannot be sold on the Market Board, with the exception of the level 44 sets from Dzemael Darkhold (Coliseum sets and Sentinel tank set).

My suggestion would be, if any of the gear you can't sell is green/blue/pink gear, to turn them into your Grand Company under Expert delivery for seals. Fast and easy way to rack up on your GC seals.

Without knowing exactly which gear you're talking about/what the condition of it is, I can only give you these suggestions. But hopefully they will help.

I dont know. Going crazy with the glamour seems like the point of the game. I mean, it doesnt matter what youre doing if you look good doing it.
