I had found the options to turn hit boxes and targeting lines and stuff on and off but never an option to actually change the colours.Oh, I hadn't considered that you might not be able to read the target circle appropriately because of its color; I changed the colors back in 2.0 beta4/earlyaccess. That's a good question.
The target's nameplate color will affect the the target "dagger-shaped" pointer, the focus target "dagger sheath" pointer, the target health bar, focus target healthbar, and the target circle. Personally, I like "Unengaged Enemies" and "Unclaimed Enemies" to be a light yellow, "Engaged Enemies" to be red, and "Claimed Enemies" to be a sort of fuschia; but of course all that matters is that it's a color scheme that you can see clearly on various terrains / floors.
Makes them so much easier to see..
