The Vath Daily quest to deliver the delousing powder to Uhm Ala. He's always in the same place, why the hell do I need to talk to the same three incorrect dragons every time!?

If they really wanted to emphasize that we can't tell the difference between dragons they should have just randomized Uhm Ala's location within the first three dragons you are forced to talk to every time. Then it would at least feel like we aren't just a complete idiot and genuinely don't know where he is or how to distinguish him from the others.

*When the other healer in Diadem goes MIA and your party just pulled ol' Bronty. ;D

*When you try to farm any dungeon for something specific and you still haven't seen it pop up yet after 20+ runs. (I'm looking at you, Dreadwyrm Claymore).

*When that Lanner whistle finally pops and you roll a 90 (like yassss finally), then you see the last person roll a 91. F. U. k thnx

*When the tanks can't keep the sanuwa apart in LB Ex. Although I do have to admit, I chuckle when it happens since they always blame the other. ;D

*When someone wants to criticize your gear on a new class you're trying. Then you ask them to make you some and they get quiet. Mmhmm, bye Felicia.

*Seeing level 1 weapons you can get from a vendor for like 20 gil on the market board for thousands of gil. Petty Ann, you petty AF!

*When the Intuition poms get wasted in PotD because someone forgot it was already in use. -_-

    - When your PF says, "Farm, but clear-ready is ok!", but people join and don't know first phase.

    - As PLD MT, the group get upset because I won't drop Shield Oath for added dps, but our NIN refuses to Shade me and/or Smoke the WAR who's nearly spamming BB.

    - The leader of the farm group want speed kills but is doing more talking than attacking.

    - You tell the group you're not confident in solo-healing but they make you do it anyway; a player then demanding Raise.

    I'll comment here:

I WILL overwrite Storm's Eye if situations caused me to face the boss (A11S, when the MT pulls towards center or just before the boss turn around for the GA-100). Dancing Edge has the highest potency (260) without positional.

When the whm casts medica II on the entire party before the tank even pulls... Unnecessary enmity generation and no one is going to eat anything within the first 10-30 seconds of the fight aside from the tank.

My Egi taking manual commands as suggestions.

People who waste the parties time whining about someone having gear that meets the minimum iLvl of the instance yet doesn't meet their epicurian standards.

Mob dying just as I get Aetherflow stacks to Bane off it. Double salt if I used Tridisaster. Triple if I used RS as well.

People who whine about the instance the roulette gives them. People who then quit immediately afterward. People who follow suit not realizing the i270 BiS SMN is more than happy to tank/heal Sastasha for the other i270 who bailed because he/she/bread can't be bothered to accept roulette RNG.

I once saw a thread titled just like this back on Nsider in the SSB section back when SSBB still had yet to be released, complete with that family guy pic in the first post. Coincidence? And on that note, I remember there already being a "What grinds your gears thread" on here at one point... but that was years ago and is probably massively buried at this point.

On topic: If I allow myself to let loose on literally everything about the community that grinds my gears, I'll be banned so fast from this forum. And as a fair warning, while I like to keep a reputation of being "that guy who seems friendly and helpful regardless of what happens"... deep down, I've become a very bitter person thanks to my time in MMO's. So here's just a list of things I've seen from all job roles that grinds my gears.

    Tanks:
1: Blowing all defensive cooldowns before a pull. Yeah sure, rob yourself of all protection save for your armor.
2: Warriors who refuse to acknowledge Storm's Path's existance. It's a 10% damage reduction on all the of the enemy attacks for crying out loud. Use it on enemies that love to spam party wide damage and those that know how to hit like a truck!
3: Related to 2, people who exaggerate how much of a DPS loss Storm's Path is, when it's no where near as bad as they claim it to be.
4: Warriors who don't keep Storm's Eye up, letting it fall off for longer then 2-3 seconds. (I offer a little room here as things can get in the way of keeping debuffs up at times)
5: Tanks who insist in pulling all mobs and trying to manage aggro in nothing but their DPS stance. For god sakes, you have a tank stance. Use it on inital pulls to help you establish inital hate, ESPECIALLY if you've got really good DPS players with you.
6: PLD's who refuse to use Hallowed Ground for anything but an emergency. How about you give your healer an 8 free seconds of DPS time?
7: DRK's who refuse to do the Dark Arts + Dark Passenger to Dark Arts + Dark Dance combo on mass pulls. Please don't neglect your matrix dodge powers.
8: Tanks who don't stun. PLD's have even less excuse for this despite the fact that theirs is on global cooldown.
9: Tanks who DO stun, but only to add to their DPS. (DRKs and WARs in particular) How about trying to save your stun for a critical moment if the enemy isn't stun immune?
10: Tanks who can't decide how much to pull. Are we going or stopping here? Make up your mind!
11: PLD's who forget that they're the only Tank job that can silence, and refuse to save Spirits Within for silencing moments against enemies that have critical things to silence.
12: Tanks who poorly position the enemies by leading them out of party ground AoE and/or into enemy AoE. For the latter, I know this is hard to accomplish on rare occasions, but make an effort to keep them out of enemy AoE and give breathing space to the melee DPS, please.
13: Off tanks who don't use Provoke when they need to. Because everyone know it's a good idea to ignore mechanics. Right?
    14: Tank aggro-wars. Enough said.

    Healers:
1: Healers who don't DPS during down time (nobody needs healing at the moment) and they have the spare MP for it.
2: Healers who DPS too much and let people die to things like the upcoming unavoidable room-wide AoE blast from the boss. Bonus points if the healer empties their MP because they spam their DPS moves too much.

(I absolutely hate BOTH ends of the Healer DPS debate. Explaining all of why I hate both ends requires it's own separate post)

3: Healers who don't have swiftcast crossed. I'll understand if it's your first job to level cap, in which case I'll just gently point you towards THM and ask you to level that job to get swiftcast. Because once you start swiftcast rezzing... it just feels good to ignore the cast time of a rez spell.
4: Healers who let Tanks fall to 10% of their HP before deciding to heal them, while said Tank is a completely random stranger to them in Duty Finder. I approve of Benediction strategies and what not... assuming you AND the Tank personally know each other and have done this countless times before. With randoms, I have to recommend against letting their HP drop so low. Though if you get a Tank who approves of you doing this, then by all means, keep doing that strategy.
5: Healers not casting their "Esuna" spell on critical debuffs. Some of the poison and bleeding debuffs out there really hurt you know! (Wolfbanes in World of Darkness, anyone?)
6: Healers who put a regen spell on the Tank as they're starting the pull. You saying you want all the aggro there healer?
7: WHM's who spam Medica II non-stop and then blame the Tank for not keeping aggro. Obvious troll is obvious... or VERY ignorant of heal aggro hate.
8: Healers who run off and pull more mobs then what the Tank pulled. I don't care how good of a healer you are. There's probably good reason why the Tank only pulled so much. Plus, you're possibly setting yourself up to die too.
9: Healers who fail to realize that if they die as a healer and a SMN is present, the SMN can rez them. It's not an automatic game over yet! Don't hit that return button!

    DPS:
1: Any DPS that can stun that insists on using their stun move just for additional DPS gain, against an enemy that has moves where it's critical to stun them.
2: DPS who insist on using their AoE moves against only one or two enemies. NIN's in particular grind my gears on this when I see them drop Doton.
3: NIN's who refuse to use Goad on those getting low on TP. Come on NIN's... really? You guys have one of the best TP regeneration skills in the game. :/
4: MNK's who don't position themselves correctly against the enemies. A MNK's biggest two means of DPS output is positioning (more so then any other melee DPS job) and maintaining Greased Lightning III. Any time I see a MNK not even attempting to position themselves correctly makes my MNK weep. I understand that punching an enemy directly in the face should deal more damage, but that's not how the MNK job works mechanically gameplay wise in FFXIV.
5: BRD's who refuse to sing. Bonus points if they won't even put up Foe Requiem.
6: Similar to BRD's, MCH's who refuse to provide TP and MP regen support with their turret as needed.
7: BLM's doing the following: "Blizzard III, Fire III, Blizzard III, Fire III, Blizzard III, Fire III, Blizzard III, Fire III, Blizzard III, Fire III, Blizzard III, Fire III" ... or something equally stupid.
8: Related to 7, Ice Mages. "Durrrr... what's a fire spell?"
9: SMN's who don't manage their Aetherflow stacks properly. You'll end up looking like an idiot when you find out that you can't Bane the next mob pull. (Heck, I've been guilty of this a few times when I got a little too greedy about pushing out AoE DPS with Painflares and Deathflares)
10: DPS who neglect their buff abilities. DPS are the jobs that have by far the most amount of DPS buff abilities that apply to either themselves or their entire party. Things die faster when you hit harder you know. I can understand saving some buffs for the boss fights depending on cooldown timers and how far you are from the boss, but please remember you have buffs!
11: SMN's who neglect the fact that they have a rez spell. Pitch in and help your healers if they're struggling with something like MP management. Especially important if you're in a light party and only have that one healer!
12: DRG's who don't keep Heavy Thrust up. Blood of the Dragon can be lumped with this number too, but Heavy Thrust is acquired before BotD and is easier to keep up. :/
13: Any DPS who runs off and pulls more mobs then the Tank pulled. Like with the healers described earlier, you're just setting yourself up for death.
14: NIN's who mis-use their aggro generation abilities. Giving NIN's the best powers of aggro management may have been a huge mistake...
15: DPS who do less DPS then the Tank. Enough said. Bonus points if the Tank is a freaking PLD.

    Any job in general:
1: Standing in ALL of the obvious fire and then complaining that you don't get healed enough when you die. Bonus points if it's a Tank or Healer.
2: Insisting on ignoring mechanics, even if it's obvious that the parties overall gearing power isn't strong enough to brute force your way through the mechanics. (See my Garuda HM healer horror story)
3: Elitist attitudes that are so high up on their horse that even the slightest error of judgement on anyone else's part (like, you forgot to pop "Raging Strikes" before going into your DPS combo) sets them off like a volcano and they start to smack talk the guy who made the mistake and possibly the rest of the party.
4: People who don't even try to get their DPS numbers up there.

(For 3 and 4, remember what I said about me being really bitter deep down towards communities thanks to my time in MMO's? This is another "One side of the table VS the other" arguement in which I absolutely hate BOTH ends that would require it's own post just to fully explain)

5: People who blow up over people not using DPS buffing item potions and what not... in things like Expert Roulette. Savage raiding, sure. But for something easy? Really guys? Save your DPS buffing potions for Savage raiding IMO, unless you've got the gil to blow.
6: Loot trolls. You know the guys I'm talking about.
7: Related to 6, Leechers in raids.
8: Impatient players who pull bosses while other party members are watching a cutscene. Double the points if the player watching the cutscene is a healer.

... I am a very, very, bitter person deep down under my "Nice guy" mask... D:

Aether still doesn't let B pull in Alliance raids making runs go smoothly like in JP servers.
C'mon guys the layout is even spelt out for you, B in the middle A and C to sides to take care of enemies and mechanics, why you gotta make things complicated?

My server says Aegis but I have an Alt on Gilga to play with a buddy.

WARs who are inconsistent about keeping Storm's Eye up grind my gears pretty bad :P

Any situation where you are not guaranteed a rear positional, yup. I can agree on PotD here though ^w^

When, in a 24 man, no one wants to tank. So I queue as tank and when the other 2 are just standing there, I just go ahead and MT. But then, all of a sudden, they want to tank and provoke off me. SO next boss, I let them go ahead. But, NOPE, they don't wanna. So I go ahead. Repeat forever in every run forever.

PAUSE. I'm sorry but DRKs are masochists and need that sweet sweet MP. I'm no wolrd class DRK, but dodging is literally the oppsite of what I want to do, especially for huge pulls. I like spamming DA + Abyssal Drain instead.
