Of Payments and Forums

So, we all know that payments are resuming in January. Curiously, I've noticed that over the course of the past week or two the general tone on these forums has been extremely harsh. Extreme amounts of back and forth bickering, frequent player attacks, a low tide of respect for other people's opinions, and so on.

Is it because payments are resuming and many players will be losing forum access that this is happening? And will the return of subscription payments mean a nicer, friendlier forum atmosphere for all who are staying? I can only hope so.

Am I the only person who thinks that the resumption (is that a word?) of the subscription service can only mean good things for the health of these forums?

yes for less troll, but no for friendly

Only time will tell. There are trolls that are not paying, and there are trolls that are paying.
