Of Payments and Forums

So, we all know that payments are resuming in January. Curiously, I've noticed that over the course of the past week or two the general tone on these forums has been extremely harsh. Extreme amounts of back and forth bickering, frequent player attacks, a low tide of respect for other people's opinions, and so on.

Is it because payments are resuming and many players will be losing forum access that this is happening? And will the return of subscription payments mean a nicer, friendlier forum atmosphere for all who are staying? I can only hope so.

Am I the only person who thinks that the resumption (is that a word?) of the subscription service can only mean good things for the health of these forums?

Only time will tell. There are trolls that are not paying, and there are trolls that are paying.

You aren't the only one. There's a lot of people that will be caught in the crossfire.

Some good people who have playmates who will be leaving once subscription kicks in. And thus, the good person moves on with their friends.

the bickering has been continuing to escalate because they were allowed to go on for too long. it started where one could say for another poster to shoot himself and nothing was said to them and a person telling them to back off and not be a jerk and them get tos violated.

the problem is the rules haven't been enforced correctly since the forums started so people became more and more offensive. that's my personal take on it.

i got a ban for a 3days just for making a thread for my 1000's post when it hit.... lmao. they seriously are retarded when it comes to what they removed and who they banned or punished. but yeah it wasn't a usefull thread at all, but people being able to threaten people is lol, and they chose when and how curse words get removed depending on who says it and if it positive or not.

but sorry to say but once the pay to pay starts even when they are all gone, all that is left are people who will destroy what is left of this game. that is all i am gonna say bout that. we will see how the game turns out at 2.0. the majority never posted on these forums, most people play mmo's they don't talk about them. the same group of us are on these threads to the point where everyone knows who posts and what they are about. i wouldn't be surprised that the majority of them are workers of SE to begin with. once pay to play starts everyone that is paying aren't the ones that even at 2.0 will save the game, it's the players that left and hopefully they are done at this stage with listening to the forums for input.

what i think most of you need is like your own little world to go live in. enjoy the next year if that is what your enjoyment is, empty servers and people who come to forums to throw what they learned last week in college into there posts. i'm rooting for 2.0 but you might just get a mmo that dies out 6months after 2.0 launches if they listen to most of you. and lol if i come off as rude but obviously they won't lock this thread over the one that was made in the opposite reflect.

we got over a year for free and people knew this was not a F2P game and now we have to pay there mad and saying how bad the game is but, why do they have alot of lv50's and and are on all time?
cuz they like the game and dont wanna pay now there just trolling cuz there kids with no money or grown and and have no bank account.
