New Hairstyle (Ponytail) Consideration

Some backstory: I have an obsession with ponytails (ask anybody who knows me).. and I've always wanted a ponytail that looks something like the one linked below.
Would it be possible to have a hairstyle in an upcoming patch for all races that looks something like this?


With the main aim of the design having the ponytail reach the upper part of the mid-back-ish, the ponytail start from the top of the head, the roots being dyable, and no bangs (all hair pulled back)?


I LOVE the linked one's root color too!! If you guys were able to make it happen, I'd love you forever! ^.^

NOTE: The current ponytail design is SO close, but I don't like the bangs!

Probably not, the devs have talked about long hair before, and if you notice from the picture, it would very much cause clipping issues with a lot of armor pieces. Unless the devs radically change the way hair is rendered, and give it proper physics and collision detections (so basically never), we won't see this kind of hair.

Shorter ponytails yes, long ones, not likely.

There is already a style with hair about as long as that shown in the picture, it's the long princess style hair with a headband and bangs, an it clips many things (it's Kosmos' favorite style as it's similar to the hair that KOS-MOS has). The Samsonian locks are about that long as well and have no bangs. A ponytail like the one requested would seem to be within the realms of possibility.

I'm all for the addition of new hairstyles (especially male hairstyles that don't make me look like an anime protagonist) but I personally find it hard to use longer styles because the clipping drives me crazy. I'll never say no to a new hairstyle, though, and that would look very good with certain glamours.

Am with you on that one. Every MMO out there has the same 'problem', blocky sticky hats with hair texture. Not sure if you are familiar with Alice Madness Returns, awesome hair tesselation. It is possible, game developers could at least make it a local setting, so only the 'driver' can see it... Oh well, maybe one day....

well, they have considerably enhanced how the hair moves when the character moves, so anything is possible.
