    Help with Dungeon Doors

Specifically in Haukke Manor and that one optional door in early Thousand Maws.

I have never been able to interact with these doors to open them, but other players can. Is there a reason I can't ever seem to? I've tried mousing all over the doors without any way to interact that I can see. Is it just me or do other people have that issue as well?

If anyone can explain what's going on or what I am doing wrong and how to fix by all means feel free.

How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?

No insult meant by this question, but I have to ask:

Are you right clicking the interactive object while standing in range of it?

    1) Are your Objects nameplates turned on?

    /characterconfig
    Display Name Settings (red buttons)
    NPCs tab
    Objects: Display Name Settings: Always

    2) Are you able to target the doors with the "Target Nearest NPC or Object" keybind?

    /keybind
    Targeting
    Target Nearest NPC or Object

Set a bind for that and try to acquire a door target with it. Then hit your Confirm key (/keybind, System, Confirm) to interact with it.

Let's see if that works on the door first, and if it does then we can rule out broad problems and look more closely at how the game treats your mouse.

I remember having hard time with the toto-rak door. The target area to click was abysmally small, totally invisible and way higher than you'd expect it to be. Not unreachable but hard to find.

That was before I for some other reason turned the object names on, and that was a world of difference. With the names on you don't have to hit the invisible world object, since (right) clicking the name works too. And I think most people have them enabled since few enjoy of the extra challenge to look for shiny spots, fun as it was for me in solo quests. That's why everyone else seems to get them easily.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

I am right up on the doors... but I wasnt trying to click the very top as a later poster mentioned the objects are higher than expected. I will also turn on object name plates as someone else mentioned and go unsynched into haukke to see if that addresses the issue

After turning on object nameplates, I was able to interact with the aforementioned doors... but damn those doors interact spots are tiny... I'm hard pressed to find them without the nameplates on.

Really though, set a Target Nearest NPC or Object keybind to something really easy like [V]. You do enough interacting with NPCs/objects that the tiny bits of time this saves you will add up quickly.

You can actually right click directly on the object nameplate (ie, you can right click on the floating letters that say "door" to open the door, or failing that left click it to target, and then use your interact key). This is pretty much ALWAYS easier than trying to click on the actual object to use it; this also tends to be the case with monsters, etc.

It's been a long time since I've run Haukke Manor, but I seem to recall something about needing keys to open some doors. Do you have a key when trying to open them?

You need to collect all tiny keys if you want to open each door. Most people avoid this and only collect the number of keys needed to beat dungeon. So it is likely you do not have the keys when you try to open them.
