While I get that Aymeric is a popular NPC, I don't see why people expected his outfit to be unisex. We've known it was locked since the dataminers first found the files for his set. This I will agree. It is nice to see the males get something to show off their awesomeness with. The only thing I disagree with, for future reference, is something that is so highly anticipated such as Aymeric's gear. With that being said I wouldn't want any neat looking type of NPC female gear to have female restrictions placed on it either. It's one thing to do it to new gear produced in Eorzea. It's another thing to do it with Mog Station items. A variation of the same attire is of little consequence if the item in question is priceless.
Who is huddling together? You sound incredibly defensive right now. You didn't have the decency to act like a normal person in a general forum, instead you decided to act out as an rp character. Right now, your post reads to me as "People don't agree or like my idea, they must be ill minded people". Sure, some of us have come off as harsh at times, but maybe we decided not to show you the real us? After all, you won't do us the same courtesy. So the common consensus is that the majority lack tact, decency, and exhibit no shame. They would rather huddle together bashing on people and ideas that are unique and not of the norm. They do this trying to justify their behavior no matter how ill it may be. Psychological evaluation complete and no further studies required. For those of you this does not apply to feel free to ignore and move along with your day as you have been. You were taught well if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.
Edit: As for the bashing on your idea, who exactly is bashing on it? People are simply saying gear should keep gender locks. Something that goes against your opinion is not bashing.
How do you know you're the oldest here? Now you're just assuming things. You seem quite young to me in the way you speak.PS: I'm the oldest one in here and that might be why I have a shred of compassion left in me to enlighten about past events. Members are fickle that way. The fat chocobo might be in need of assistance at a later date sometime soon.
I am an Esper... who is born of the mist. I am spawn of the crystal and Bahamut. I'm not dragon nor lizard.
As for the rp thing again. No, you're an Au Ra. Esper is not a race here, and being a spawn of Bahamut (despite the title) is lore breaking, impossible.

This is a fun shift from the norm for the General Discussion :3
This person just doesn't seem to know how to RP at all. >_>How do you know you're the oldest here? Now you're just assuming things. You seem quite young to me in the way you speak.

Gilgamesh is the 'sister server' to Balmung. Or at least it used to be in the early days. A lot of people went there who wanted to get on Balmung but couldn't. I imagine most role-players there have since transferred over, though. So if Balmung were to vanish...Gilgamesh would likely be our next home. ; )
First let me say that you type well for someone who is dyslexic; very few grammatical or spelling errors. I genuinely mean that, learning disabilities are a PitA. But, as you said that you are definitely an English speaker then there are a few things I want to say. I know that constructive criticism might be ‘appalling to hear’ as I have no intention of sugar coating things, but you should know that really am trying to help you.No I am English and I am very dyslexic. I also know for a fact that the only way to truly hold a language is to constantly use it and expand upon it. You say it's excruciating to read and I will say your response is appalling to hear. I do not use a thesaurus so all these words are ones I know. I'm sorry you feel everyone is in need of a book to pull "elaborate" words from. As for purple text prose..... Ha, purple text disgust me... I would never stoop so low. Purple text is only for emotes never quotes. Are you really that long winded you must quote yourself... NPC don't even do that.
I assumed you were either using a thesaurus or something like google translate because while many of the words that were peppered throughout your posts were technically synonyms of or simply similar to other, more common words that would have made perfect sense the context that you used them, they themselves were completely wrong when used in the same place.
Is a good example of this. It’s fairly easy to figure out what you were trying to convey through the use of context clues, but 'steadfast' is still very poorly used in this phrase. I assume you wanted to convey that the ideas were long-held or enduring, but steadfast is more commonly used to describe a person or thing that is loyal or dependable. Are the ideas you are referring to loyal or dependable?
Later in that same post, your use of heresy was also not technically correct. In common speech, heresy almost exclusively refers to something that flies in the face of a religious doctrine. The only really applicable use outside of this is for dramatic purposes- you want to place the severity of the divergence of the opinions you are talking about on the same level as religious heresy. If you were attempting to use it to dramatic effect, then I apologize as it would be correct, just incredibly melodramatic.
This entire section of your closing sentence is absolutely not something you would ever hear in everyday speech and really just reads like you were trying very hard to sound educated. ‘Inserting’ conveys the idea of ‘adding’ or ‘contributing’ without actually being a word that would normally be used in the manner in which you attempted to. ‘Propagation’ also has no place in this sentence (it makes even less sense after your use of ‘inserting’.) I understand that you were somehow or other trying to convey the idea of politely spreading or generating conversation, but this sentence is so mangled I’m not even sure how I would edit it to fix it so that it makes sense without starting over from scratch. ‘Mannerisms’ is plain, flat-out wrong here. ‘Manners’ as in etiquette is the word you were looking for but has absolutely nothing to do with ‘manners’ as in behavioral traits, gestures, ways of speaking, or mannerisms.
I picked this particular post apart because it was short but still had several of the key problems that were repeated over and over throughout the rest of your posts. When taken all together, the examples I gave above give the strong impression of one of three possibilities –
You are using either google translate or an English-to-other language dictionary which would have lacked the subtleties to differentiate between these words and phrases that I pointed out and their more correct synonyms and uses. You said English was your first language so this is ruled out.
You are extensively using a thesaurus to look up more impressive-sounding versions of commonplace words but are also, like with a translator books, not grasping the subtle differences in usage. You, again, stated that this wasn’t the case.
You are aware enough of the words to recognize them or know of their existence, but your grasp of them is too loose and you are not familiar enough with their usage to be able to correctly put them into context. This is the only situation that makes any sense to me at this point and, if it is the case, then the good news is that you are half way there. Knowing bigger, less commonly used words is half the battle; you just need to work on understanding them better, especially their subtle differences to everyday words. With a bit of practice you should be able to use them properly.
I know this is a big post to shift through, but I hope you did as I was genuinely trying to help you improve your writing. That being said, I should add that ‘purple prose’ has nothing to do with text or emotes. It is a writer’s term for a style of writing that is overly flowery and showy to the point where it adds nothing to the piece of writing except making it harder to read and understand.
