Of course you as a consumer can use the browser provided by Sony and this without using your psn ID. This is different for games and for developers. Do you know why there is no third party browser for example? Because companys can't create what they want on console and can't access what they want and they certainly can't just make THEIR Software access the internet. Even the most basic stuff gets checked and tested by those console provider. And as many sources, some of them i posted, they have to ALLOW third party to use cross play.
At most the launcher retrieves the current username aka PSN ID - from the PS4
No the PSN ID is linked to your square account. You for example buy stormblood and because your PSN ID is linked, you don't have to activate or register the add on for yourself. All done on Sony/Square Enix end. Not possible, if the launcher would only get the information of your user name. Those account are linked.
I, the owner of the console can go online without PSN to browse, so yes, I can. However, what you are not understanding is that the PS4 is open, if a developer creates a game that uses their own servers on the Net, PSN doesn't care, nor does Sony, and they don't require special permission to do this, it's allowed
First i didn't talk about you as an consumer! I talked about developers. So please tell my why we didn't get EA Access then on console, if the ps4 would be as open as you said? Well EA told the world, Sony didn't want them to. not so open. Tell me why there is no voice chat programm from third party on console? No third party browser? And i know they can use their own servers for the games, but this has to be allowed and you can't let the software access everything. For example, games except mmo and f2p are forced behind the the ps+ paywall and developers can't just "access the internet" how they want or develop an multiplayer without the restriction in place. Everything is controlled by sony in they end. Of course they allow some stuff, but this still doesn't change the fact, that the ps4 isn't as open as you think it is. Because in the end Sony could just change everything they want and then the publisher and consumers alike have to deal with it.

And even as consumer there are limits. You can't use the browser to download stuff for example or you can't install software not verified by sony on ps4. And you can't play online mutliplayer in most cases without paying for ps+. You can't just "acess the internet" with its endless possibilities and get around this restriction. You can do what Sony or any other plattform holder allows you too. Simple as that.
Technically, Microsoft actively prevents Xbox from playing outside XBL. SOny does not actively prohibit playing outside PSN or PSPLus, they allow developers to decide how they want multiplayer to work, including reproving on of cross platform play - outside of PSN.
Some companys use their own server on Xbox and not Xbox Live. How do you explain that stuff and you still haven't provided an source for anything you said. But i will just leave it there, i got enough. You seem to know your stuff about interaction between games and servers, but you don't seem to know a lot how this stuffs works on console and what rules are in place.
Changed your tune now, but you just can't let go of the argument can you?
I literally posted in my last post, that i said some time ago that this is microsoft fault imo. I recommend you reading my post instead of taking them apart without beeing 100%sure what i wrote.

Edit: You will ignore this link as the others, but here is proof the accounts are linked https://support.na.square-enix.com/c...82&la=1&daxx=3

People got too much time on their hands.

    Taken from Polygon:

"Microsoft actually approached the Final Fantasy 14 team about the cross-platform opportunity," Yoshida told Polygon. "When our team reviewed the regulations that are associated with that, we realized that Microsoft may not have the experience or understanding of running an MMORPG as an online game genre just yet. The Final Fantasy 14 team has fed back to Microsoft that there are certain elements of its regulations that we would have to consider waived. We're waiting on Microsoft's response for that, but we are having discussions."

We can do any war of reasoning here, but the cold answer to the topic is "because the parts didn't reach legal terms agreement". RIP.

While this is true imo for the Microsoft situations, i would really like to get a (new) comment from either Yoshi or Nintendo about the switch, since in the past Nintendo was open about cross network play in some cases. https://www.vg247.com/2013/10/13/nin...nsoles-report/ (also a good read for Kosmos, cause they talk about Sony for a moment)

Is the Switch strong enough for the minimum system requirements? Will be there enough free room for later increasements of the minimum requirements or will the Switch get dropped in 4 years like with the PS3?

I can't really answer the questions, because you can't really compare the minimum system requirements for pc with the console. For instance the PC minimum specs uses an much stronger cpu then even the ps4 or xbox one have imo and i can't possibly know if the switch would be to weak for ff14 in 4 years, because i do NOT work at Square and know their plans for the game. Maybe they increase the specs again for 5.0 or 6.0. Who knows. But in my opinion we have to be careful about the ps3 situation, because not everything some ff14 fans blamed the console for was her fault. We just have to look at the america data center news in which Square stated that the inventory can be increased with the move to the new data center as one example. Which means imo the old data center and not the ps3 were to blame for this restriction.

Looking into other aspects that have been implemented to PS4 and PC but we're omitted from PS3 gives some idea of some of the performance limitations, such as the more limited amount of on-screen HUD elements. That in turn suggests a more limited graphics memory. My perception of switch this far is that it would soon fall behind since it's already weaker than it's non portable counterparts. I would rather not reach out on a platform that would just impede further improvement, even if it maybe could run it now.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
