Nothing is working for me...I think I will just reinstall it. I have fast enough wifi it should not take too long.

I can't even use that option because of the fact that I had to have a buddy of mine use his proxy just to install the game originally. I don't have access to the same proxy anymore.
I had to do 3 things to get my ps4 pro to update:
1) delete the FFXIV system file
2) use my phone as a hot spot
3) change the DNS to use Google
I tried do each individually and they all failed. It succeeded when I did then all at once.
Having same issue.. UGH
I saw this video on youtube with a potential fix but seriously I wouldn't personally do it unless this issue wasn't resolved by SE with a subsequent patch later today. Lots of people have to be suffering from it and they must be working on it.
For PS4

Turned phone into hotspot and worked for my ps4. Nothing else worked for me.
with the end of ps3 support think they could afford not to screw up ps4 users so they need to fix this without us who pay these morons having to jump through a half dozen hoops to get it to work if that the case I'll quit before doing some run around in hope it fix their screw up
I finally got in a couple minutes ago, i tried deleting the system setting, reboot modem/router but nothing worked... even tried Google DNS, but it didnt work... until i found on google another DNS that players used to fix the same problem... a year ago and it fixed it
Level3's DNS
Primary: 209.244.0.3 Secondary: 208.244.0.4
That one worked for me on PS4 Pro and my girldfriend normal PS4. I changed the DNS inside the PS4 network setting, just choose to set it manually, i left default setting until it asked for DNS. I didnt touch my modem/router setting.
I have now tried every single fix in this thread people have done, and nothing! This is extremely frustrating ><, I'm hoping someone else finds a different fix that eventually can work for me ; ; Because I'm not sure what else I can do at this point ><
EDIT:
So it finally took a combination of things, but after putting in the google DNS in the PSN network settings, that's what finally did it for me! GL to anyone else who is trying to figure this out!
