Not raiding as it is time consuming to even get a group.

well ive used to raid like 7 years long ^^
but Interests are shifting, as time passes.
So not raiding anymore , i can finally take breaks whenever i want and enjoy whatever else life has to offer^^
That sayed i wouldnt put me in the corner of None-Raiders , i like raiding ^^ i just dont want to put the time that much in it anymore ^^

I don't want to commit to a static raiding schedule any more. I'm old and value my freedom. I would gladly raid with my core RL friends but we couldn't form an 8-man team (only six of us play) and undersized isn't allowed for current content so we cannot even start studying the current raid content until the next expansion is out; training as a six then using PF for a clear would be ok if more flexible parties cannot be accommodated. I could do it with a group of randoms just for the experience but I'd rather wait and share the experience with that group of friends, so the strict restrictions mean that none of us raid at all.

I raid because,
I like hanging out with my static, although they're all insane.
I like problem solving the raid strategy, it's like a puzzle you put together with all the cooldowns and mechanics.
I like the feeling of accomplishment after executing the strategy perfectly.
Raiders are a small minority in all games, in WOW the percentage is larget due to its multi-difficulty raiding, especially LFR, XIV has no such variation (except in Alex and that only has 'hard' and 'savage' which still limits the number of players able to complete it) and so only the most skillful or dedicated players are able to play it.

Something to do and work towards. It's pretty fun to not have faceroll content all the time, too.

I had bad experiences in WoW so when I started playing in FFXIV, I decided to not bother with Coil of Bahamut or Savage Alexander. I can just do it with friends later if I want the gear. Im also an healer only, I never liked DPSing and Tanking and when I did try to see if I could get into a static they tried to force me into leveling at least one DPS so I won't bother at all anymore.
No.
1. Unable to commit to a fixed schedule
2. Refuse to put up with toxic community
Raiding itself is masochistic and lacks long term meaningful rewards which makes investing into it utterly pointless. Plus unlike coils the story content is crap. Not a fan of oneshot mechanics.
Not a raider. Primarily this is because I can't find an all-friends static party (and I intensely dislike raiding with people I don't know very well or am ambivalent toward). I'd probably make efforts to muscle through that at times, like I did in FFXI with Dynamis, Einherjar, etc., but the relatively rapid gear replacement in FFXIV severely discourages me from this path.
