I want to raid but Its seems Im in a pretty large fc and our leaders raid together but everyone else is pretty casual I love my fc so I wouldnt leave, but it plays a part. To me its pretty hard finding other players thats willing to accept defeat over and over most people seem to have a 20 min window to where its just give up time. Its amazing to me how people even raid cause I cant reallly seem to find other players thats willing to bash their heads against content and failing over and over until you get it right. Ive done some raids only three tiers of alex 9s being the most relevant I plan to go back, but I guess ill just have to see whats in store for sb

I was in a casual RP focused FC where I had the reputation of a DPS monster who turned every roulette into a speed run, and I eventually wondered if I was good enough to try a PuG of A1S. I immediately found that I enjoyed the more difficult mechanics and the stricter DPS requirements. I also Flowers For Algernon'd myself in the process and found that the enjoyment I got out of normal mode stuff was relatively muted.

So I stuck with it, mostly through PF groups until I accidentally ended up in a static during The Creator.

There is no need to go with people from your FC. Thanks to cluster PF, my group is not even on my server. xD But it makes no difference.
Just go and find yourself a static that fits your needs. With fixed or unfixed times and days. Group that is HC/SHM/Casual. There are always people that want similar things like you, you just have to find them.
So don't limit yourself to your FC or your server and just open up a PF saying what you want and what you look for and sooner or later someone will contact you.

Why do I raid? For the challenge, the fun, the excitement. If anyone is familiar with NEST raid videos, my group is very, very similar to NEST. We have fun, we joke around a lot, but we do put our three nights a week to good use. The core group cleared Final Coil before echo was added at the end of 2.0, and now our group has cleared Alex Creator before the end of 3.0. We're looking forward to Stormblood and hopefully remaining strong.

My original goal from starting the game was to get into the endgame raiding. I changed mains, and ultimately changed FCs in order to raid. Everything that I once thought of as out of reach has slowly become accomplished thanks to persistence, hard work, and a fair amount of luck.

I really enjoy the thrill of clearing difficult content and will keep raiding in Stormblood as well.

Once upon a time I never thought I'd have a single primal horse. Now I have a Firebird and I got all my birds from pre-Echo farms. It feels pretty awesome.
