    gamepad stopped working on ffxiv

i was playing last night with it just fine, like ive been since forever. today, no matter what i do, the gamepad wont work. ive tried it on a few other games, and the gamepad works fine on them, i redownloaded the drivers, tried different usb ports, nothing. i'm able to see the controller listed in the configuration screen, just cant get the buttons to work. im able to calibrate it just fine through windows, no idea what else to try

ok, i tried uninstalling/reinstalling, didnt do anything. to clarify a little more, it seems that the gamepad is working, but when you push any button, it takes abut 2-5 seconds for the command to reach the game. its like some kind of lag from my gamepad to the game itself. ive tried a different gamepad, same thing. both work with other games i have on my PC

i fixed my problem by doing two things, not sure which one, or both simultaneously, actually fixed it.
first, after updating drivers for the F310 gamepad and not having any luck, i came across a different one LGS_8.84.15_x64_Logitech, so i tried that, and second, i was trying to troubleshoot the gamepad through windows, and it came up with something along the lines of using a USB 2.0 item on a USB 3.0 port, and to after some googline, i was reccommended to update my USB drivers. there were two, the first one was up to date, the second one was not, after updating it, everything worked fine. the problem was totally on my end, but if this helps someone going as crazy as i was, then at least its something to try
