The letter from the producer questions are going up. I've attempted to get questions asked about the moving feature in the past, but that's been on reddit and the downvote drones are a plague over there. IF you have interest in the moving feature, please pump up the likes on this post.

If there are any points I missed, let me know. There have been a lot of posts here and on reddit asking questions regarding the move feature, but to even get the questions asked (let alone answered) we're going to have to put in some effort!

Ty. What little they did say was blocked behind a paywall and now there's a bunch of conflicting information spreading around. Crossing fingers that we get more info on it.

Here are the questions I posted, hoping to get answered:

Can we please have more details on the move feature that addresses the following:
- How much will it cost to move a plot?
- Can we move to a larger or smaller plot?
- What happens to the furniture during the move and will furniture that gets destroyed on pickup be destroyed?
- Is the move feature for FCs only?
- Will the move feature be available at the same time plots are made available for purchase in Shirogane?

Unfortunately they went with a generic all encompassing question that I was specifically avoiding because the answers tend to be vague and lead to rumors. What was asked and answered:

A1: Players will not be able to purchase housing at the launch of 4.0; however, they will be able to visit the housing area. The moving feature will be implemented at the same timing that the housing plots become available for purchase.

As for the steps, players will access the sign board of the plot and select the option to purchase the plot, next they will be presented with an option to move, so they will just need to select that option. You will then be required to purchase the land.

Also, there’s a new storage, so you’ll be able to store outdoor furnishings, so please use it as a storage space.

The moving feature will transfer the personal chambers, company chest, company workshop, and airship voyage status, so players will just need to prepare the fees for the new plot.

So we still don't know for sure if it's FC only, we don't know if we can move between plot sizes, we don't know what happens with the furniture although new storage was mentioned, we now know the move feature will be ready when the houses are and we can assume the cost will be the same as purchasing a plot.

I'm just speculating off what was said and the way I interpret it is that it looks like a fc only feature. The last section of what was said basically states the purpose of the feature is to transfer private chambers, workshop etc. All of which are currently FC features and unavailable in private housing.

They also mentioned that they were undecided wether to allow both private and fc housing to be bought when shirogane is first available or limit it to FC only initially.

A2: We are currently in the middle of investigating how much of the player population owns housing, so this is still being decided.

"Q1 – Can you please give us more information about the moving system since we are getting Shirogane in the expansion?

A: As a reminder, while Shirogane will be there from the beginning of the expansion but you will need to wait a few weeks before you can buy land there.

The moving system will be live as soon as land can be purchases (sic) in Shirogane.

To move, go to the land you want to buy and buy it. If you already have land/a house it will give you a text pop-up asking you if you'd like to move your house to the new estate and relinquish the old land.

If the land is the same size and (sic) the previous land you owned, the house will just move. If the size is different, all of the furniture will go into a warehouse reserve, so it is not lost. Private rooms, workshops, stables, everything will move without issue.

They are still discussing if they want FCs and individual players to have the move feature unlocked at the same time.

Well overall we did get more information at least! Still would like some clarification on a couple things but at this point I think it's going to be a wait and see.
