Quest: Crate go Kaboom

Yes I went search and there are plenty posts but could not see one with a viable answer. One reads:
Image tags require a link to an image, not a gallery.
It should be linking to http://i.imgur.com/mWOUW9G.jpg instead of http://imgur.com/gallery/tmFk7
but I have no idea what that means!
OK so I have been running around for more than an hour searching for the third crate and there simply is no third crate. I am not the only one, there are plenty others also running around.
So since this is a compulsory quest, Icannot finish the game,.
Is this kind if a 'trick question' to make sure people cannot finish the game before next expansion comes out?
It is long Easter Weekend and I am stuck with a quest that is impossible to finish and apparently has been a bug for a year or so.
And some maybe managed it but they complain that the next quest is also bugged.

Please help - otherwise I have to give up, no point going on if I cannot finish the story quests

If you're trying to inline your image it's done like this.



Considering your quest is already behind another fully released expansion, I don't think they're keeping you out before Stormblood.
The quest should still be completely doable, if you have troubles find someone doing it on Youtube, just about every quest has been documented in some form or another as a guide.

a) I always check you tube which are mainly 'click' chasers, but still.....
b) I had to get Heavenward already because about level 50 it would not let me continue on the story quests without owning Heavenward
c) strangely there were about at least 5 people at the same time looking for that third crate. There are also numerous posts about it which I read (all of them)
d) I am never a fanboi that plays a game to death and then some and again and never anything else, therefore I find that often there is no help from the forum because they are all too 'smart'.
