I made the post in reply to a request like I mentioned. I was unsure if they liked the concept or the content so I left the post unchanged from the original on the other forum. I meant no disrespect to anyone nor do I wish to cause issues. I am truly sorry.

This forum has a massive hate boner for Final Fantasy XI.
It's pretty pathetic, a player was just suggesting something from a past FF game, you know... like 90% of the content in this game be a raid but people read XI and go full "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" without reading any further.

Let's just wipe out all unoriginal content! Wipe out the minions based on past FF games! We didn't need Terra's theme on the magitek mount anyways. Dragon Quest isn't even Final Fantasy, get it out of there! Time to remove all the Ascian plot! All the Viera request threads can screw off!

Seriously, people need to chill. This idea could be fleshed out further. Maybe instead of just all FFXI bosses, it could include all final bosses from every Final Fantasy game. And I actually like the thought of getting some glamour gear based on older titles in ways other than veteran rewards or Gold Saucer.

Hmm, I know plenty of people who disliked FF7, 4-5-6 etc etc, even 12, the list is long. Should they gtfo, because they don't like these games? FF14 isn't all ''original'' as you or other on this thread think. Most of it is taken from older FF games. Heavensward mobs, certain models are taken from FFXI as well. Golden saucer? FF7, some friends of mine dislike that game, so I should tell them to leave the game becaue it's there? FF14 is far from Original. At least the reborn one .

We already had an event in honor of ffxi. We got some sweet armour. No need for more than that. Lets give ffxiv more ffxiv related content instead of dwelling in the past.

We also had enough of old FF games too, why not something original coming soon? You know why? Because people keep ask for it! Yes!!!! People who still play the game. Some people still don't get it, sadly, they don't.

To everyone else, it's fine to disagree. but it's super ironic most of the posters here actually want original content, yet see they play a game that's based on other FF games lool. FF14 isn't as original as they say it is. Heavensward had so much from FFXI and other FF games, mainly FF11 I'd say, nidhogg, aery etc? FF11. I bet 10 bucks that next expansion will have a lot of old FF games ''content, elements etc'' in it too. Why? People want it and some people do want it simply because of the good old times, I guess we should bash them too huh? Yet you guys complain here about 1 little post the poor OP posted. Sad.

I love how some of this community in general is quick to welcome anything and everything from WoW, but mention FFXI and its pitch fork time. All I see is a lot of people who played FFXI and couldn't really get gear or do content complaining, so they don't want to see anything from FFXI.

I see this so much in FFXIV..people I knew from FFXI who back in the day couldn't even clear assault complaining about adding ANYTHING from FFXI. Good thing my FC is filled with people from FFXI who actually did end game (like myself) and can tell the difference between good and bad from FFXI..instead of shunning it at the mere mention of the game. Sure, XI had bad stuff but it also had good stuff! By no means am I saying this is true for everyone, just from what I have seen personally. Well anyway, this is why whenever someone says "but wow does this!" yeah well, my instant response is "This isn't WoW, its FFXIV" works both ways.
