How do you know leviathan is a male? are you assuming its gender??
In FF15 leviathan is a female, so it could be female here as well.

If the "Lord of the Whorl" turned out to be female I'd love this game forever. But we won't ever see Levi-chan in the story again.

I sort of see her as that too; she's that mysterious character that gives us information on what's really going on, but we have to do errands for her in return.

Primals are what the believers think they are. And believers give their gods the ideal perfect looking body.

Well FFXV has Leviathan as a female and they basically share the same models.

the whole the real Yda is either viceroy can't happen with the current regime Garlemald has the highest post a non garlean can obtain is Sas which are just under the Viceroys at most Yda could work under either one not be a viceroy herself and second garlemald also deploys troops they've attained from capture away from their homeland so Yda if alive and serving garlemald would not be in ala mhigo but in Doma or Yanxia area.

Leviathan (リヴァイアサン, Rivaiasan?) is the Primal of Sahagin beastmen tribe, and a boss in Final Fantasy XIV as he appears in the Main Scenario, and as a superboss in an optional "extreme" battle.

Leviathan was originally scheduled to appear as a boss in the original version of the game, but following the tsunami disaster of 2011, his and Titan's plotlines were seen as highly inappropriate for the time and were shelved

Yep biggest clue was Lord of the Whorl and not Lady of the Whorl.
