Lightning TT card availability

It would be great if they added a TT npc that dropped the Lightning card again. They can also add platinum cards packs available to purchase with MGP alongside the other card packs. I really don't like that the only way to get is to win the TT tournaments or it dropping in the platinum card packs.

There are many cards that are solely obtained through high tournament rankings and platinum card packs. It isn't limited to Lightning. As such, I wonder why you mentioned Lightning specifically. Anyway, I'm sure that your suggestion is a thought that every serious Triple Triad player has had. But most likely, the opinions are varied. Many would say that it's right to keep some cards locked to "placing in the top 3 in tournaments" so that you need to be good to get them. Others would say that every card should have an alternate way to obtain.


Still, I think that the idea of adding a platinum card pack at the MGP shop would be good. Many a player has too much MGP than they know what to do with, and there's nothing wrong with having some extra places to spend MGP. But I think it would need to be very expensive. 100k MGP for instance. Very expensive considering you're very likely to get yet another copy of the Shiva card and whatnot, but the only alternate way to obtain tournament-unique cards.Or perhaps just putting the cards individually for a million MGP, but I prefer the card pack approach.

The 4 tourny cards are indeed a pain to get, but they are not that hard with some patience. Ranking anywhere in the top 30 or so gets you at least 1 platinum pack, and more if above 20. They also buffed the drop rate of the tourney cards in platinum packs also. Several months back people started to see many many more of them. I saw 3 of them since then, as opposed to 1 in the previous year and change.

It can take a while but they will pop out for you, just play the tourney each 2 weeks.

The reason they are listing Lightning only is probably because it is the only tourny card that has been acquireable outside that in the past. As far as getting top 3 even with the revamp people are still gaming the system so relying on a 1-3 spot is unrealistic.

the other prize card packs you can get by placing in the tournament also give the lightning/tidus/firion/cecil cards too, so you may get lucky if you get those as well.

I agree. Bring back Tataru with Lightning and Firion drops. No idea why she's unplayable now in the long gap between 3.5 and 4.0 anyway.

Lol Oh yeah I remember that Tataru salt in the shout. They should just make another NPC and transfer Tataru's strategy over to her.

Please bring back Tatarau so we have a chance to play her for the Lightning card. I am from New Zealand, and the Tournaments are on in USA time and not my time, so I miss out on the tourneys. I rely on npc's and if you could sell platium pack at the MGP Shop please. Many thanks

Hope to get Lightning (and the others) vía Platinum, because getting the first 3 places... Too hard, there is always a better playera. xD
