I'd like this especially if we could level alt jobs while doing it.They could always make tomes acquired in the open world instead of only in instanced content that would be one way to get people outside of the main hubs and making the world look more alive and my example is fates seriously that would make the game feel more alive if players could see high level players running around in the open world. More ways of acquiring tomes would greatly help.
No because the idea of the 450 cap is not the number. Its the limitation on gearing speed (i.e. 3 weeks for weapon, 2 weeks for big armor etc etc). 900 would effectively double the gearing speed thus rendering the whole tome scheme pointless. For the first time since 2.0 I can play more than 1 or 2 classes that I enjoy at the same time. I don't enjoy farming tomes what so ever but at least now I can enjoy playing multiple classes at endgame more freely.
How about we just keep the cap at 900 instead of the old 450 for future "tome" styled content? You still can't gear rush new content anyway.
I would much rather they have a rollover system similar to WT, where if you cannot cap for the week, the uncapped amount is "rolled" in to the following week thus keeping the overall gearing speed the same but giving a breather for infrequent players.
Rewards are the driving force. If you took away the roulettes and the tomes they offer for doing them for example youd find Queue times for a lot of content would never fill.
And that's why most players will do it once and that's it. Till tomorrow. No rewards for doing it a second time.. or do it once and that's it till next week if they got there weekly items...
Which is why players always say there's nothing to do. Despite the game having bucket loads of content. Almost none of it is worthwhile. So once you've done your ex and got your weekly drop there's nothing left to do
