I guess from now on I'll just destroy the boxes and be "Nice Job'd" to death. Because not everyone knows about it. Platinums and even a Diamond had boxes stolen because.. how would we know?

I've seen this happen once.
I took it as fair game since we didn't CC them. I've learned my lesson. As tank (except WAR) I don't touch the boxes I go straight scouting who is taking what on the opponents side. If I see someone barrelling in, I will be ready!

Good call, I do the same thing on this map with WAR now too, also a good way to build stacks on the enemy and try to get the opposing melee to kill themselves if they try to attack me. Most tanks wont' do this because they can't "tank" and do damage at the same time. If they get too far on our side just holmgang them early for the kill or to get them to waste purify before full swing.

There's a back route behind the tree in 8s that's almost a straight shot between the buff boxes. If a ranged is fast enough, you can sabotage the enemy team's boxes.

Reasons why I see it as broken and not fair. It only works with some jobs. I call that broken/bad design. NINs can Shukuchi and destroy them. SMN can use Painflare + Energy Drain or Death Flare. MCH can use Gauss Round + Ricochet on the run.

I'm a BRD, what can I do? I have to stop to attack. What can a DRG or MNK do? See in the original map it was always fair no matter what, now with Lichenweed it's more about which team has the job with that advantage.

Hastemarch for when sprint wears. Don't use Wanderer's. Bloodletter > Straight > Low HP Kill ability.

Or you can detect an incoming NIN, and bind anyone coming for your stuff.

Also a Bard and I've stolen buffs with Empyreal Arrow + Feint. It's actually easier than on other jobs because you have Swiftsong to get there a bit sooner because Sprint doesn't last quite long enough. Anyway, at this point getting your own buffs is pretty much a formality again, stealing them was a thing in the first few days but now people have caught on to it and pretty much everyone sprints to their boxes. Now I'll still Sprint for the enemy boxes, I'll almost never manage to steal one but I'll usually get slept, bound, stunned or heavied (or all of those!) because they want to make sure I can't steal, and then I hobble back to my own base with a nice DR to help me get my opening burst off.
