Crazy ERP with kids aside.... -_-! 'shudder'... I can see it being a interesting plot twist for MSQ at some point, like u arrive to save a town/outpost/village to only find 1 child as the sole survivor sure they stay with the Scion's but see u as their savior/caretaker, could see 1 MSQ cutsciene now:

Child 1: my dad/mom's better then u'rs!
U'r Kid: no way mines better!
Child 1: my dad/mom's 'random high class rich job'
U'r Kid: Mines the WoL! >.< so there

Aaannd at that point, the child would be in danger.

Even though the adoption idea sounds sweet, it wouldn't work out due for these three reasons:
1) The Warrior of Light is always busy saving the world, they wouldn't have time for the poor child
2) The child will always be in danger since the WoL is their guardian/mommy/pappy
3) We may have some creepers within the playerbase...=_=
