Playing on multiple systems

Hello I have both a ps3 and a ps4. I was wondering if once my character information has been transferred to be able to play on the ps4 if I could still play on the ps3 with the same account.

They said you wouldn't be able to once you do the upgrade PS3 option on account wouldn't be possible to convert back or use it anymore on ps3.

If you bought both a ps3 copy and a ps4 copy, yeah absolutely.
If you used the upgrade option to change your key from a ps3 to a ps4 key, then no you cannot.
Once Stormblood comes out, there'll be no more ps3 support either way!

PS3 doesn't really matter at this point anymore since it being discontinued in about 2 months, and going to be forced into PS4 only then. Also unless you talking about like your hotbar setting there no character data transfer as that all resides on SE servers so no matter what system you play on you will have access to same characters regardless of system logging in on.

Until June, if you have bought both PS3 and PS4 copies then yes you can log onto either one if you used the free license transfer then you will only be able to use the PS4 version.
