[DEV REQUEST] Please make the Hellhound Obtainable By More than Just the Top 100 PVP

Before you grab your pitchforks and torches, I don't mean for this thread to belittle your accomplishments in any way. The top 100 per data center are in most cases, really, really good at PVP and they should enjoy a nice reward of some kind. Here's a great list of suggestions.

I'd like to suggest, if it's not already in progress like the minion, that the mount be made available to more than just the top 100 PVP'ers. Even the ADS mount and the Warhorse are tied to number of overall wins in their various campaigns respectively -- not how high you rank on the ladder. If you want to tie it to PVP, that's fine - but let it follow a similar path as the other two mounts -- something a bit more attainable.

There are a lot of new people joining PVP to try and get this mount (myself included) but because of either lack of time/experience/both, there's just no way we'll be able to climb to the top even if we tried to grind it out 24/7. It's a completely different world than PVE and that disheartens a lot of people.

For every 1 win, you can expect 10 losses. That's from a combination of people being new and inexperienced. They're overwhelmed while the PVP base is salty over this influx of new people costing them their rankings. Both groups have a valid point.

All I'm saying is that those of us who maybe aren't the greatest at PVP should have a shot at this too. Eventually Savage and Extreme raids get nerfed to the point where people can get their horses/birds even if they mash their heads on the keyboards. Tying it to overall number of PVP wins would be okay or even a different route altogether like what I'm assuming will happen with the minion.

(And before anyone thinks I want a GG EZ route - I'm leveling Warrior to 60 solely to learn how to PVP with it so I can be a better contributor to my team. But getting to the top 100 is a far-off dream!)

Well to be fair people asked for this for a while and then they make it an exclusive item for pvpers.

I get that they're trying to get more people into PVP, but making it a 1) seasonal and 2) top 100 reward is just a bit too exclusive for something that's in high demand. I'm all for top PVPers having something nice to show off besides earrings. They earned it.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it sounds like the exclusivity is fine, so long as it's for an item that you don't want. :P

That's the problem with all of these threads so far. They're saying give them something, just not something that I personally care about. And that's just bogus.

It'd probably have been less of a problem if they hadn't picked a mount model that PvE players have been asking about, ever since it first appeared in Void Ark.

Do you know of a faster way to get more PvErs into PvP? Making PvP more enjoyable is a BETTER way, but its not faster. Adding a mount to encourage participation has been SE's go to move since the tank mounts. Is there another mount that would make all the PvErs want to take up PvP, more than hellhound? Does it matter that its a hellhound, or would the outrage still exist if it was another mount? I don't see any forum posts of outraged players wanting an earring. The bottom line is most PvErs are ok with an exclusive reward....so long as the reward is lame.
