Where exactly dud the yearn for Viera race come from. I just kind of started seeing it suddenly.

First it was diadem. Then mentor threads now Viera. Is it the flavour of the month?

People started crying out for it ever since SE showed an April's Fools of concept art crossing Vieras and Bangaas, joking that it was the new race to be added. This sparked an outcry for Viera to actually be included as a race. I'd rather we don't get any more races myself.

I'd consider $20 for a half-elezen (like Hilda) race and the means to switch to it. Not $25 for a fantasia bundle.

And I don't think I'm alone on that. Not sure why the Viera fans aren't willing to do the same. I mean they did have a few other threads?

Actually people do need to read and reply to topics like this. Otherwise where does it end start paying for new area maps, quests, race, pvp battlefields. SE keep saying things like not enough manpower etc. But some of you guys would rather they stop working on current updates or remove something from an update, due to players saying they are willing to pay extra for it.

Not against the Mogstation but stop requesting for everything to be on it.

If no one is willing to pay for it, and well at least I'm willing to pay for a half-elezen race (within a reasonable price). Which one will look more enticing to develop? To put it shortly.. just how badly do you all want it? Or is the whole viera fad just a joke?

This reminds me of the Froglok race in EQ. SOE actually let players vote on the next race. The choices were Orcs, Frogloks, Gnolls, and something else. Instead of voting for a race that might actually get played. Everyone voted for Frogs, without any intention on playing them. Some did.. they did kind of change the look of them to be good.

I'm starting to think people are doing the same thing with bunny girls here. Put a price on it, and you actually see what people really want.

I like that comparison with EQ. I've tried EQ2 and they have tons of wild and wacky races that nobody really plays so I always roll my eyes and think of that when people say "no I hate cute normal looking races I want to be a giant ugly monster" if they want a new race. It's mind boggling people want something that will be hardly ever used but they don't want popular race like Viera.

I think a lot of people that like Viera would put their money where their mouth is. Actually you could say that Au Ra is pay locked since you need the expansion to get it. Tho I doubt many ppl would pay just for Au Ra honestly, actually unsure if anyone would ever pay just for Roegadyns as a race lol.
