Isn't the answer obvious? We are getting infinite character slots in our one character already because we can CHANGE CLASSES.

What possible reason is there to have more than one character in FFXIV? Unless you want a mule...and that's what retainers are for.

You don't need the extra character to experience the game. Unlike other games where you are forced into making more characters whether you like it or not.

It is completely voluntary and a vanity service at best.

$1.00 for the character slot (like it was in XI) but you have to pay an additional $2.00 surcharge for the HD that the character comes with. Justified.

When 2.0 comes out they are going to charge 12.99 when others mmo games are 14.99 with as many characters as you want. this is a problem. Please help me to understand why they need to charge 3$ per character? If you can sell me the reason I will be glad to hear it. (and also tell my why wow and rift can give you unlimited free characters while your at it.)

By the way when replying spare the white knight lines, im a big ff fan and will stay anyway no matter what, I just think this is not a smart move for future success in the game. (people on this forum have a for every aspect or against every aspect mindset on here so sadly I have to set that up lol)
