Saying that you cannot have more than one toon without extra money is silly. (If anyone can JUSTIFY reason for 3$ charge when ff11 even was 1$ please do so.)

You don't need the extra character to experience the game. Unlike other games where you are forced into making more characters whether you like it or not.

It is completely voluntary and a vanity service at best.
