I don't care about the moral standpoint, but the fact is that this is how it's done industry wide. Vanity content is not always free, and the prices aren't correctly proportionate to the effort it takes to develop and maintain them. A shiny pony in WoW costs 20 bucks, alternate costumes in SFIV cost 5 bucks per 2 characters.

You so exaggerated here it's not even funny.... No one is paying out the arse for the monthly subscription on this. I have two characters and am a little glad they have applied a reduction to the monthly fee per character. Otherwise, I would have been paying $16.00 per month.

It's quite simple - just like everything else in life that you have choices given to you, do not play an additional character here. No one is forcing you to do so.

This is great news. I have no issue in paying to pay. My main concern is will people stop playing and if they do will the servers be as dead for parties as it has been in the last 2 weeks. Maybe its just the server I am on I am not sure if this has happened on the other servers. Now granted I can solo but I prefer to party. Also how much new content will there be or better yet how long will the content be? SE needs to make sure content is not something that can be finished before they release the next version update.

Price isn't too bad but it's leaving the space between 1.20 and billing starting awfully close. I do think that £2.10 per character fee is a bit ridiculous (seriously, we're still in the age of charging extra character fees?) but the base rate is pretty low so it kinda balances.

Hopefully 1.20 makes the game worth logging onto again though, I'm just hoping we have enough time to experiment with 1.20 to decide if we want to stay after billing commences.

$1.00 for the character slot (like it was in XI) but you have to pay an additional $2.00 surcharge for the HD that the character comes with. Justified.
